Is this silencer suitable for use on tumble dryer metal ducting? Dryer is gas powered. Thanksd.
Hello Nick
Hello, would this reduce a loud humming noise coming from two old commercial (Care Home) 200mm tumble dryer vents coming through a brick wall? The noise isn't too bad at source but we think it is accentuated because it vents into a 5 feet wide passageway (no roof) and bounces around off the wall opposite? The noise also pulses sometimes when both vents are operating. We have photos if that would help? Also is it DIY fit or does it need professionally fitting? Many thanks.
Good morning, and thank you for your question. We would always recommend getting a professional in to install, but if your quite a handy DIYer, then you may be ok. These inline attenuators are designed to reduce noise travelling down the duct run, so if the noise is being transmitted at source and travelling a long a duct into another room, where the noise is being heard, then it is possible, the attenuator will reduce that noise..
