The electrical potential which originates when water rises in a masonry wall causes water molecules to wander always from the positive to the negative pole. This natural principle of Electro-Osmosis was discovered by the physicist Reuss some 200 years ago and adapted by Lectros during the mid 1970s for the drying out of walls. Since then, this method has been constantly subjected to comprehensive series of tests and just as constantly adapted to the current state of the art. Dry walls - and thus a proper level of living quality - can be attained easily and with 100% certainty by using the Lectros Osmotic system.
Th system introduces a very small an perfectly safe electric charge into the wall, just above ground level, through a series of titanium anodes inserted into the brickwork. Its effect is to repel the rising moisture down the walls and back into the ground. As long as this tiny positive charge is maintained then the walls remain dry and free of damp.
To install, a series of holes need to be drilled into the masonry, just above ground level and the anodes inserted. These anodes are then linked by a spcial connecting wire, which is poked into the wall.
Some of the benefits of the system are that:
It dosen't require any chemicals
It permanently guards against rising damp
Protects properties of any age or structure
Simple to install with little disturbance to the building
