No loft? No problem - Combat condensation in your property with this powerful Positive Input Ventilation (PIV) unit.
When ordering please ensure you choose the correct unit.
Specify whether you want the heater input airflow on the Left (Flatmaster 2000L) or Right side (Flatmaster 2000R).
There are two versions, Left and Right. The version you need will depend on which side of the house/wall the unit can be fitted. Check the above diagram, the heater (Marked in red) should always be pointing to the inside of the house. See the Flatmaster 2000R Left Unit.
The unit is designed to take fresh air from outside, clean the air, warm it (if fitted with heater) and discharge it into the central hallway via a system of ducting supplied by the installer. The dwelling internal air discharge grille is usually installed at a high level in a central location within the hallway, although discharging the air down the length of the hallway (away from the front door) should also prove acceptable.
Unit performance may be enhanced if an existing heat source can warm the discharged air eg. by locating the discharge grille above a radiator.
If additional heating of the incoming air is required e.g. during very cold weather, the integral heater can be used to distribute filtered, warmed air throughout the property.
Based on the popular and low-energy Positive Input Ventilation principle which Nuaire invented in 1972, the Flatmaster 2000 range has been specifically designed to ventilate homes without lofts. The unit is fitted with an integral heater which can provide additional heating when required during very cold weather.
The PIV system introduces air into the home at a continuous low rate, eliminating condensation dampness and forcing our indoor pollutants such as Radon gas and carbon monoxide. The results are a fresh and healthy indoor environment.
The aesthetically pleasing and compact unit is usually situated in a convenient location, such as a kitchen cupboard or hallway, and is ducted to a central location. Multi-positional spigots allow for quicker installation with only one external wall penetration.

I have a 1 bed part basement flat and my surveyor has highlighted the problems I have.I need a unit but don't know where to position it.My bathroom which is most of the problem has a hall running off it which is damp, this leads to my front door.I have a grill vent above the door currently but the external walls are approx 500mm thick and stone.I have no other means of connecting ducting to the outside, only the space above my front door which is about 300mm deep. Can you help me please? Regards Rick

Hi I live in a ground floor flat, with solid wall. The building suffers from condensation, and some mold from condensation. FYI I have extraction in the kitchen and bathroom. I currently have a heat recovery unit in my hall, but this does not seem to solve the issue. Admittedly we only run it in the day as it is slightly too loud for nighttime. I am considering trying a flatmaster 2000 in replacement of the heat recovery unit, but I am still struggling to see what the fundamental differences are between PIV and Heat recover...can you explain this? If the heat recover unit isn't solving the issue, is it then highly unlikely that this PIV will either? I don't want to spend £400 installing something that is basically the same thing. Please can you offer some advise. FYI the issue is definitely condensation related. Many Thanks

Hi On the installation picture the unit is shown fitted with height and length ways being the longest and depth being the narrowest. I need to fit it in a small hallway which has 4 doors in it so there is no way to fit as the picture above shows. Is it possible to fit so that it would be flat against a ceiling thus making width and depth the biggest with height being the smallest? Hope that makes sense

Hi I have a few questions and would be grateful for some answers. What size are the input and discharge grills? All my rooms have passive air vents. They are installed about 2m from the floor. Would I need to close these if I installed a Flatmaster? I would install the Flatmaster in a cupboard and use ducting to run the air into the living room. The front door opens directly on to the street. The only place that I could realistically install the discharge grill is at ceiling height but within about 400mm from the front door. Would this be okay? The advice is to get an electrician to install the unit. I cannot understand why it could not be run from a cable and plug into a switched socket. Could you advise please? Thanks Patrick
Hello Patrick
Thank you for your question. The extract & supply size are 100mm and 110mm. As for the air vents these will not affect the performance of the unit.
If I can help any further please do not hesitate to contact me on 0208 463 9683

I was just wondering, why you might need the heat option? We are in a basement flat, which is fully tanked, we suffer a little bit with condensation, in the winter, when all the windows and doors are closed. Do we need the heated verson, we have central heating for warming our living areas. Thanks Debra
Hello Debra
Hi, I like the idea of the heater for warming up cold air. How is the unit controled? i.e. turrning off/on. can the heater be turned off seperately? for example no point in heating in the summer.
Hello Philip
Heater light is always on is this correct

I am going to purchase and install a right hand 2000, using the rear entry option. can you tell me what duct I need to buy to bend 90 degrees right and go straight ahead 50 cm on the outlet for the air on the right. also does it come with supplied round duct pipe to the outside wall with face plate? thanks, Les
Hi If this unit picks the air up from outside the house, when wet outside will it not pump damp air into the house?
Temporary periods of high humidity outsideare not a cause for concern as the RH is relative to temperature and even ifintroduced into the home the higher internal temperature will reduce the RH,even rainy periods during winter do not generally reach very high levels ofhumidity because the air is less able to hold moisture as vapour, duringvery cold periods humidity can drop to 25% - 35%, in winter evaporation of rainwaterafter a fall is created less by heat evaporation but is caused throughincreased air movement through wind (same effect as drying clothes on aline) during these periods when we want to keep all of the windowsand doors shut, but continue to create water vapour, internalhumidity levels are kept stable through strategic use of heating, and controlled air change.
Hi fitting more and more of you nuaire fans they say 5 yrs warranty 1 yr parts & Labour 4 yrs parts. do I need to register my purchase any where to activate the warranty ? Steve

Hello Alan
I have a multi room basement, can I bring air flow into multiple rooms or would I need two separate units?
Hello Tom
can i ask what you actually get in the box and does it come with the cable attached ?
Hi Mike
Hello, please can you tell me how many decibels this is at each speed with/without the heater and at what distance, thanks
Good Morning
Hi, can you answer another question please. I would like to fix this through a south west facing external wall. I live in a very exposed location, would I need to cover the external vent with anything additional, thanks
Good Morning
I am looking to install the Flatmaster 2000R in a bedroom on the wall, is that ok in terms of noise level? or do I need to box the unit in to reduce sound? Also in addition to the Flatmaster 2000R would I need to buy some ducting to the outside wall and some kide of grill to go on outside?
Hi Tim. The best place to install it, would be a central hall way that has direct access to the outside. It will need to be ducted to the unit from the outside, and then ducting to one central area. It will then fill the property with fresh filtered air, and it will distribute that air to all rooms in the property.
Will I need air vents in the rooms for the stale air/condensation to escape out of, if so what type would they be. Thanks Tony
Hello Anthony,
I have recently installed the Flatmaster in my basement. Do I still need to use my Ebac di humidifier in conjunction with the flatmaster or can the ebac now be made redundant?
Hi Nia.
Hello. Is a boost switch included with this model? I didn't have anything additional in the box of mine apart from the unit itself. The description reads - manual boost switch - for additional ventilation when required. Is this something i need to purchase separately? Thanks
Hello Megan
Hi, before buying this, can you please tell me if it’s easy to replace the filter and whether any special equipment is needed as I notice it should be done around once a year?
H Tracy. Yes it is pretty easy. You just need to take the front cover off to get access to the filters. You will need to take the cover off before install anyway, as the duct spigots and various fittings will be located inside there to keep them safe in transport.
