I-Sells provided fantastic pre-sales support and the Manrose MF-125S is installed and working perfectly. Ventilation/extraction is often seen as a simple piece of selection and installation, but there can be a lot of potential problems if you are unwary. The gentleman at I-Sells took the time to explain options and their respective benefits. For example, I ended up using rigid 125mm ducting and whilst it did take a little longer to fit (in a very old roof space), the end result is clean and robust and works very well. Thank you I-Sells. -

#1Max lengthMost fans seem to have a max length of 6 metres. I would like general extract from a kitchen area ( ceiling grille not a cooker hood). Linea run is around 4m but with 4 x 90 degree bends. The fan to be mounted horizontally but on a vertical wall. Is this or one of the other 125mm fans suitable please?
Question by David Iszchak, 31-05-2016Hello David
Thank you for your question. The MF125s fan will do an 8mtr straight run and 6mtrs with 2 bends incurred. If you have a longer duct run then the ILF 125 product code QS4828 will do your application. If you require any further assistance please do not hesitate to contact me on 0208 463 9683
Kind Regards
Anita
Replied by i-sells, 31-05-2016#2manrose fanHi, can you please tell me which manrose fan can i fit, that will take 1 bathroom and 1 shower room from 1 fan approx 6/7 meter run
Question by mr salim mughal, 24-08-2016Hello Salim
The probability is that if vents are already in place the vent sizes will be 100mm in diameter therefore the MF100S would be compatible. The unit should be located just after the ducts from the shower and bathroom join up and where possible be plastic rigid ducting (system 100) or Semi rigid aluminium and angled to falls (pointed down so that any water that condenses in the duct runs away from the machine) to the exhaust point.I hope this helps.RegardsIanReplied by i-sells, 25-08-2016#3Hot Air CirculationDear Sir - we need to install a fan into our 125mm hot-air (flexi-alum) ducting, so we can improve the distribution of the hot air from the wood burner heat chamber into other rooms (2 or 3) There are 4 duct tubes off the top of the burner, they are insulated, running flat and diagonal to a brass grille to exit into the rooms What temp range are these fans you supply? Thanks
Question by John, 19-10-2016Hello John
Thank you for your question. The max operating temp for this fan is 40degree c. If you require any further assistance please do not hesitate to contact me on 0208 463 9683.

Replied by i-sells, 20-10-2016#4Manrose fanHi, just inquiring about whether u supply power cables with the fan, thank you.
Question by linda barnes, 21-10-2016Hello Linda
Unfortunately not with this product, because it is a remote located unit each installation is likely to require differing lengths of cable to the switch and therefore difficult to predict how much would be required this is probably why the manufacturers decided to leave cable out and keep costs down.I hope this answers your question.Kind regardsIanReplied by i-sells, 21-10-2016#5manrose fanHi, again, really interested in this fan but have 1 more question, do I need to purchase a speed controller to change this fan from high to low speed? Thanks in advance, linda.
Question by linda barnes, 22-10-2016Hello Linda
The quick answer is yes, the Manrose MET controller (enter QS6285 in the quick Search bar) will give you On/Off and speed control options.I hope this answers your question.RegardsIanReplied by i-sells, 24-10-2016#6Mixed Flow fansI want to increase the rate of ventilation to a shower room which currently has a built in 100mm duct to outside. Can I install a 125mm or 150mm fan to the existing ducting using reducers and will this achieve a greater air flow rate?
Question by Geoff Cardnell, 14-11-2016Hello Geoff
Depending on which fan (make model etc) you have currently it may not be necessary to increase the size of the machine to achieve a better flow rate it may improve by just upgrading to a more efficient fan?How long is the duct run?How big is the bathroom? What controls do you have for the current fan?Replied by i-sells, 14-11-2016#7ConnectionsDear Sir, Madam, I would like to use this fan, vertically mounted and connect it on one side with a duct and on the other side to a plywood panel, can I directly mount this fan into a 125mm hole in the plywood panel ? Or do I need a specific seal or clamp ? Thank you
Question by Marike, 18-04-2017Hello MarikeThe spigot to duct connection is ok and the other side will pass through an aperture in a plywood panel but this should then attach to something on the other side, such as a termination vent, which would be fixed to the other side of the panel?Replied by i-sells, 18-04-2017#8controllerHi, I will have a 2m 125mm duct run with 2 x 45 degree bends. Is this fan suitable for continuous running? Which switch do I need for the 3 speeds? can it run on a variable controller?
Question by alan, 26-10-2017Hello Alan
Thank you for your questions. This fan will do an 8 meter straight run and 6 meters with two bends in cured in the run. The fan is not continuous running and it has 3 speeds high medium and low. There are 3 controllers that can be used with this fan.Met controller - On / Off - Speed Control: Code QS6285Manrose 1361 - Humidistat & Time Controller: Code QS5409Manrose 1362 - PIR Sensor: QS5410If I can help any further please do not hesitate to contact meKind RegardsAnitaReplied by i-sells, 26-10-2017#10Radon FanHi I have a Vent Axia RMF 150 Radon extraction fan that needs replacing. Question by Dave Davenport, 04-07-2018Hello Dave

Question by E.W.Robertson, 21-08-2019Hello
Thank you for your question. No this model is the standard model the model you require is the MF125TKind RegardsAnitaReplied by i-sells, 21-08-2019#13Replacement inline fanCurrent inline fan has just given up the ghost. It is a basic cheapo 4 inch model that never really extracted. Questions as follows please. 1. Manrose fan looks like the replacement I need. However the current fan works from a switch outside the bathroom door i.e turn on fan using switch....shower......leave on for 5 mins turn off. 2. All wiring is in situe in the loft. Double pole switch - fused plug etc. Will I be able to wire this up in a similar manner and get it to work from the switch outside the bathroom door ? 3. Would 4 or 6 inch fan be better ? 4. Length of hosing will be no more than 2 meters - do you recommend pvc or aluminium and does this have to be pulled tight ? 5. Would you recommend a condensation trap ? Thanks Mark S
Question by Mark Stirk, 27-05-2020Hi mark thank you for your questions my name is Phil from the technical department
I will send you an email direct if that's OK and answer all your questions and queriesmany thanksReplied by i-sells, 03-06-2020#14Manrose duct fan #26867 standardFan stopped working after _5 years. Operated by pull switch. It is very difficult to follow the cable run so cannot check whether it has an inline fuse which has failed. I don’t think a fuse is required, hence problem most likely with the fan unit itself. Unit is at my son’s house 150 miles away, and he is not competent electricity-wise. Is independent fusing likely or even necessary ?.
Question by T J Blunden, 27-07-2020Hi Mr Blunden im Phil from the technical department
is it possible to run a power test on the wiring going to the fan to see if there's power going to the fan.. it is very possible that a isolation switch or fuse is in place with a 3 amp fuse and are most likely in a accessible position however if there is not a isolation switch or fuse then it is advisable to install one which will reduce the amps to 3amps supplying the fan.I do hope this is helpful if you need any further assistance please don't hesitate to call me 0208 463 9518Replied by i-sells, 29-07-2020#15Inline fanHi, I am thinking of using the Manrose MF125S Inline Duct Fan Standard Model (QS9655) with the Manrose 1361 Remote Humidistat & Timer Controller (QS5409). It will be ducted from ceiling into a roof tile. Very short run to the fan in the loft with a 90 bend from the ceiling. Then will duct sideways and then upwards at a 45 degree angle to a roof tile. so from inline fan to roof tile would be around 1.5m. Would you recommend a condensation trap too? Please can you tell me all that I would need to order. Thanks, Ash
Question by Ash, 05-12-2021Good morning Ash. If you are ducting to a roof vent, I would advice adding a condensation trap VKC434. We don't sell the 22mm drainage hose, but that can be sourced from Screwfix.
