KAIR SYSTEM 100 (110MM X 54MM) RECTANGULAR FLAT CHANNEL DUCTING PIPE - 1 METRE LENGTH
Product Details:
White plastic rectangular ducting pipe - 110mm x 54mm x 1000mm (1 metre length).
Kair System 100 (SYS-100) Rectangular Ducting is designed for short duct runs and it can be easily concealed due to its low profile. It is perfect for installations requiring low extraction rates such as bathrooms, toilets, and utility rooms. It can be flush-fitted against ceilings and walls and can be concealed above wall units or inside ceiling voids.
- Made in the UK using uPVC Plastic.
- Max / Min Temperature: +60c / -15c.
- Can be cut to suit.
- Suitable to use in compliance with Part F Building Regulations.
- Airflow performance independently tested by BSRIA or BRE.
- Free Air = 5424 mm2.
- Static Pressure Drop in Pascals: 15 l/s = 2.21 Pa - 30 l/s = 8.56 Pa - 60 l/s = 33.10 Pa.
Flat channel ventilation ducting pipe can be used a variety of ventilation purposes. Rigid flat pipe offers superior airflow performance to flexible ducting.
Installation Tips:
- Kair plastic ducting pipe is lightweight & easy to install. You simply push-fit the duct pipe and fittings together. For permanent fixings, you can seal the joints with a method of your choice (Popular options include silicone sealant, solvent cement, or tape).
- Plastic ducting can be carefully cut to the required size using a hacksaw. Offcuts are always useful to keep to hand for joining two male fittings
- Lengths of duct channel can be joined together using a female connector (Part: "DUCVKC235").
- We recommend that you use flat channel ducting clips to fix ductwork to walls and ceilings and support ducting tube (Part: "DUCVKC230").

I am afraid the standard sizes for this product are 1 and 2 metre lengths. (Parts: DUCVKC249 and DUCVKC297).
However, you can easily join either size together straight connectors (Part: DUCVKC235) to make a 3 metre length (And it is much easier to work with on site than a clunky 3 metre length!).

You probably don't need another fan, your cooker hood will be quite powerful enough but has been installed as a re-circulating fan.There should be two spigots (one on the top of the unit and one behind against the wall) these are there to attach ventilation ducting for the discharge to free installation option. Because there is more pressure loss in rectangular duct than round the recommendation is to keep duct runs short if using due to space restrictions. However, the maximum recommended duct run will depend on the type of fan you are attaching to the ducting. If you are ducting a standard bathroom fan, the longer the duct run the more impact on efficiency and the probability is that it will not extract at the required rate for the bathroom.If ducting an in-line fan this is less likely as they are manufactured to perform at a much higher extract rate to counter the pressure loss.Replied by i-sells, 18-06-2018#11Ducting colour?Will this be delivered in white?
