A case in point is the company's response to the increased demand for energy efficiency from householders and Local Authority specifiers. Manrose was one of the first fan manufacturers to introduce humidistat controls to bathroom and utility room fans, enabling the fan to switch off in direct response to Relative Humidity levels, rather than depending on a pre-set time. In this way, a direct link is provided between the actual ventilation requirement of the space and the ventilation supplied by the fan - thus optimising the use of energy.
 
Similarly Manrose has been at the forefront of passive infra-red (PIR) control for fans in situations where the fan would normally be manually operated with the risk that it might accidentally be left on. With a PIR sensor, the fan switches on when the room is occupied and switches off again when it is vacated - again eliminating energy wastage.
