Very easy to setup using the metal spiral ducting and no problem with wiring either. Have been running it for a reasonable time - very pleased as it gets rid of damp and dusty air in my work and utility room best of all it is not very noisy. I can hear it running but it is not intrusive, would buy again if necessary. -

Light, quiet and plenty of airflow. -

Seems decent, haven't used it in application yet. Certainly moves plenty of air, pretty quiet although I hoped it would be a little quieter. But couldnt expect that really. A caution though, to those buying the speed controller along side, this does create more noise from the motor when used on low settings! Not what i wanted, but seems to be pretty standard with these controllers and electric motors. -

#1Fitting into 4" ductCould I fit this into 4" ducting and if so what are the effects? Also could I fit this at the bottom of the ducting above the grill in the canopy or does it have to be above in the ducting. Finally is it best to install this model horizontally or vertically
Question by Micky, 21-08-2017Hello MickyTo answer the last question first the machine can be positioned either way. However, if you are saying that you already have 100mm ducting in place we would point out that your 100mm ducting is designed for the extraction rate of a 100mm fan in this case the maximum rate of 250 Cubic Metres (M3) per hour the MF150S has an extract range of 400 - 460 - 500M3 so unless your duct run is very long the fan is going to be trying to draw twice as much air as the duct can accommodate creating resistance and probably vibration. The mention of canopy and grill also begs the question are you installing grease filters? These would be essential if using this type of fan.Replied by i-sells, 21-08-2017#2Connecting to a cooker hoodHi, can this in line motor be used with a cooker hood? It would sit between the cooker hood and a duct pipe running up and out of a chimney...
Question by C Demosthenous, 14-11-2017Although this fan is an in-line unit designed for ducting the impellers are not suited for extracting from a cooker hood as they have too much surface area which can attract fats and salt deposits on the blades,
Cooker hood fans are usually a drum type that have rear facing blades that draw the air through a central void, an example is the EBM PAPST MOTOR which can be found in the quick search bar by entering QS38972Replied by i-sells, 15-11-2017#3Speed Controller MANMF150SHi, Which speed controller is needed to obtain the 3 Speeds for the Manrose MF150S inline duct fan. The info is not to clear/obvious in regard to the controllers. Thanks.
Question by Stewart, 07-07-2018Hello Stewart
Thank you for your question. The fan has 3 speed's high, medium, low which your electrician will wire up to depending on what speed you require. The speed controller for this fan is our product code QS6285. If I can help any further please do not hesitate to contact meKind RegardsAnitaReplied by i-sells, 09-07-2018#5QS38972I was looking at the Manrose MF125S 3 speed to fit for a inline remote cooker hood extraction. I noted in your Q/A replies for this model the EBM PAPST was recommended due to the configuration on the fan blades. Your advise was to put in QS38972 into the quick search. No results came up on the search ? can you advise ?
Question by Alan Smith, 07-02-2019Hello Alan
Apologies this should have been QS38974Replied by i-sells, 08-02-2019#6Fan has stopped workingHi I purchased this product from you 02/09/2017, order ref 314217. The product has now stopped working. I believe it is covered by a 3 year warranty. Is this correct and if so, how would I go about getting a replacement unit please ? Kind regards Richard

"...Perfect for bathrooms, kitchens, indoor grow room or other rooms where that need a constant extraction of air..." Does this mean the fan is constantly extracting air? If so, does this mean it has an automatic trickle extraction and then a higher extraction when activated? Thanks Nick
Question by Nick Middleweek, 22-01-2023Good morning. The MF100S is a mixed flow inline fan. It isn't designed to run constantly. You can wire it up to a Humidity sensor/Timer (MAN1361) which can help to control the humidity.
Kind regards,MarcReplied by i-sells, 23-01-2023 -
