DETAILS
Nuaire Drimaster Eco 3STOREY - Condensation Solving Loft Unit
The DRI-ECO-3STOREY is the only unit within the DRIMASTER-ECO range which is suitable for install within three storey properties, by using an intumescent alumnium diffuser in order to meet fire regulation standards.
The unit itself works by drawing fresh air in from the loft space and dispersing it through the property via a powder coated ceiling diffuser, which provides a 1 hour fire-block. This technology is fundamental to the well-being of the home owner and allows Nuaire to offer a ventilation solution for every property type.
The DRIMASTER-ECO range provides whole home ventilation using the Positive Input Ventilation principle, which introduces fresh filtered air into the dwelling at a continuous rate, encouraging movement of air from inside to outside.

#1Will this product solve my problemsI live in a 3 storey house with loft, the house was built of Cotswold stone in 1860. We have a problem with mould growing on walls and on items in cupboards e.g leather jackets, shoes. We also have mould on the top storey bedroom ceilings in patches and also in the bathroom on the middle floor.
Question by Marion, 16-01-2017Hello Marion
Thank you for your question. If you have ventilation in the loft IE; Tile Vents, Soffit Vents, Air Bricks then this unit will do your application. It is designed to bring the fresh air from the outside and filter into the property and push the condensation out via your leakage points IE: Doors, Floors, Windows etc. There is a PDF on our website with more information on the unit or if you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact me.
Kind Regards
Anita

Question by sindy chumber, 21-03-2017Hello Sindy
Thank you for your question. This unit is for 3 storey properties only. The two units that will do your application if you loft is ventilated will be the Drimaster Eco Heat unit the product code for this item is QS45548 or the basic Drimaster ECO unit the product code for this unit is QS45545. If I can help any further please do not hesitate to contact me on 0208 463 9683.Kind RegardsAnitaReplied by i-sells, 21-03-2017#3Air qualityDoes the filter also remove moisture, or is it assumed that the outside air drawn in through the loft must be drier than the inside air that it is to push out?
Question by Richard, 24-03-2017Hello Richard
It is constant air movement and air change that prevents the build up of internal humidity and stagnant air pockets, the filters are to remove loft dust or other airborne pollutants drawn in with the fresh air.Replied by i-sells, 27-03-2017#4Use with extractor fansI am renovating a three story Victorian terrace which has a considerable damp problem. The property has been empty for over a year, the fireplaces are all sealed over without vents and the internal walls have been dry-lined. I was proposing to reopen fireplaces, remove dry-lining and install good quality dehumidifier kitchen and bathroom extractor fans. I have now come across your product which seems to use a different approach to controlling damp/condensation issues. Would your fan be effective to resolve my damp problem along with my other proposals? Or would the use of kitchen/bathroom extractor fans disrupt the process of your fan? Also, will your fan work with open fireplaces? And finally, would I still need to remove dry lining for your fan to be effective?
Question by Gemma, 18-04-2017Hi Gemma
We are assuming you have ruled out any structural defect that may be contributing to the 'damp' and will attempt to answer your questions in order.Having been closed up for that period of time with natural ventilation closed up we would expect it to be very damp smelling and mouldy.Bathrooms, kitchen and utility rooms (all areas that create water vapour) should have their own separate and individual means of humidistat controlled extraction which the DriMaster is designed to work with. The opening of fireplaces will not be necessary for extra ventilation (though vents should be installed in the chimney breasts to allow a through flow of air into the chimney to keep it dry and the pots should be rain protected). The installation of dry lining is sometimes carried out to improve insulation but often, in older properties, to mask a structural damp problem and we would recommend you have a damp survey undertaken if you havn't already. The Drimaster and extract veintilation will help keep the property air dry and free from condensationReplied by i-sells, 18-04-2017#5attic conversion 3 storey houseWhole house ventilation attic conversion or 3 storey house, all internal no common close stair, how would system stop air or smoke being moved around property to third storey bedroom where escape only possible through internal house stairwell.
Question by stephen beveridge, 12-06-2017Hello Stephen
If I have understood your question correctly, the diffuser is fitted with a Fire Block which closes off the air supply when exposed to heat.Replied by i-sells, 12-06-2017#6whats the difference between 3 storey version and normalHi I was looking at the standard version with heat and then saw this one for 3 storey buildings (which I live in) is there any difference between the products or is it just the fire regulation aspect that is different?
Question by Rich, 09-01-2018Hello Rich
Thank you for your question. It is the Fire Regulations that are different on the units. If i can help any further please do not hesitate to contact meKind RegardsAnitaReplied by i-sells, 09-01-2018#73 storey ventilationHi, I live in a 3 storey victorian property and have been looking at your PIV units. Is there any functional difference between the 3 storey unit and the standard units? The only difference I can see is the fire resistant ducting. Given the price difference between the standard and 3-storey versions and taking into account the cost of fire resistant ducting I was wondering if there was anything else? Thanks Owen
Question by Owen, 29-10-2018Hi Owen
There is no difference in performance between the standard unit and the 3S version it is simply the fire rated diffuser that is a legal requirement in 3 storey dwellings.Replied by i-sells, 30-10-2018 -
