Question by ted, 21-02-2023Hello Ted

If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact meKind RegardsAnitaReplied by i-sells, 21-02-2023#2UsageHi I have a pottery shop where i currently vent the exhaust from the two electric kilns to the outside would it be possible to pipe the exhaust from these kilns through the unit so as to recover the heat that has gone into heating the kilns to there temperature for firing asking as with the cost of living we are looking to reuse this heat source as we have to fire the kilns but waste the heat that is generated
Question by PETER LUCEY, 08-03-2023Good afternoon Peter and thanks for your question.
The simple answer is no. The is unit should only be ducted to the room, not to (or from a kiln.) If you can keep the ducting to no more than 8m in total, you can extract from one end and supply to another, to create a bit of air movement and ventilate a room, but that's all sadly.Kind regards,Marc.Replied by i-sells, 09-03-2023#3Suitable for bathroom extractI'm looking to install an extract for an upstairs bathroom in a small 3 bed terrace. The bathroom has some damp issues and there is no space for a through the wall HR unit. 1. Is this unit suitable/ best unit for this use? 2. can I put the supply valve on the landing next to the bathroom and the extract in the bathroom to better distibute the air or should they both be in the bathroom? Thanks.
Question by Alex, 03-01-2024Good morning Alex and thanks for your question.
MVHR works differently to extractor fans as it will extract at a slower rate, but compensate that by supplying fresh air into the room, replacing the extracted moist air, however, the bathroom will need to be heated for this unit to be efficient. If it isn't, then a good extractor fan would be the better option. If it is heated, then I would have extract and supply valves in the bathroom, but on opposing ends of the room, with the extract valve as close to the bath or shower as possible. Any ductwork run in the loft will need to be insulated, as does the duct from the unit to the outside, and keep the total duct runs to a maximum length of 8m. You will also require a condensate drain for it too.Kind regards,Marc.Replied by i-sells, 04-01-2024#4Installationcan this unit be wall mounted or is it ceiling mounted
Question by Christopher Mark Petts, 07-02-2024Good morning Christopher.
Probably not to be honest, as you would need to get access to the filters from below. Suspending it using the brackets on the unit is probably best.Kind regards,MarcReplied by i-sells, 08-02-2024#5suitabilityHi I am looking to install in the loft and extract from one downstairs shower room (thro airing cupboard) and one upstairs bathroom, with a view to putting fresh air into 2 bedrooms. Is this suitable? Answering this prompts other questions but one at a time... Thank you
Question by Rod Brench, 08-03-2024Hi Rod. No this unit will not do that as the unit is really a single room unit.
You would probably need the Vent Axia Integra to do what you need.Kind regards,MarcReplied by i-sells, 11-03-2024 -
