Excellent at fitting into awkward spaces. Very easy to cut to the desired lenght. Good for making up you own range of bends etc. -

Excellent, took all the hard work out of proceeding from the main steel 150mm dust vent through the 150mm t piece, and achieving a weirded angle, to pick up the 150 to 100mm tapered vertical converter. It simply makes things easier, and though not exactly cheap, the time saving is worth every penny.

#1Duct resistanceCan you please advise what the Pa/metre figure is for the 150mm and 125mm semi rigid ducting.
Question by Graham Bewsher, 16-07-2015Hello Graham,
The Static Pressure Drop will depend on the temperature. Please see the last page of the datasheet which can be downloaded from here which contains a table showing the different values: http://www.i-sells.co.uk/fdm_download_file.php?fileid
The maximum working pressure of the semi-rigid is 2000 Pa.

Question by davidgatehouse1@mac.com, 18-11-2015Hello David,
The product is suitable for use in ventilation applications as long as the duct diameter is suitable for the airflow of your cooker hood and as long as the working temperature, pressure, and airflow does not exceed the ducts stated maximums which are:- Temperature Range - From -30°C to +200°C
- Air Velocity - 30m/s maximum
- Working Pressure - Maximum 2500 Pa positive

Replied by i-sells, 19-11-2015#3Compression of ductingSEMI-RIGID ALUMINIUM FLEXIBLE DUCTING - 3M - 150MM I have recently purchased an extractor hood for my kitchen and before I purchase the above mentioned item, I would like to know if I will be able to compress this 150mm ducting through an aperture of 100mm, albeit an elliptical hole of a wider dimension into my roof space? From the additional details on the PDF (see below) I notice it can be compressed, but to what extent? Your help would really be appreciated. Geoff Stewart Tecflex 500 retains its cross section regardless of state; it can be compressed, extended or formed into bends or offsets with no reduction in area.
Question by Geoff Stewart, 26-01-2016Hello Geoff
Thank you for your question. When it states compressed it means that the pipe is compressed into a one meter length and can be extended into a 3meter length. If you need to reduce from 150mm-100mm then there is a reducer we do product code QS4256. Just to advise that if you are reducing from 150mm-100mm you will restrict your airflow. If I can help any further please do not hesitate to contact me on 0208 463 9683.

Replied by i-sells, 26-01-2016#4air flow resistanceHi I have a distance of about 1.5 metres from cooker hood to outside vent. This includes one 90 degree bend vertically above the hood to then run horizontally to the outlet. Is the lowest air flow resistance obtained by fully stretching the ducting and trimming off at the outlet or by just stretching enough to fit into the 1.5m run? Thanks David
Question by DAVID TOPLISS, 15-05-2016Hello David
Thank you for your question. The lowest air flow resistance would be by stretching the semi rigid enough to fit the 1.5m run or another option would be to use the rigid ducting and a bend. If I can help any further please do not hesitate to contact me on 0208 463 9683
Kind Regards

Replied by i-sells, 17-05-2016#5This vs KairOther than price, how does this ducting differ from the equivalent Kair semi rigid ducting you also sell?
Question by Zak, 31-05-2021Hello Zak
Thank you for your question. There is no difference between these items they are just from 2 different suppliers.Kind RegardsAnitaReplied by i-sells, 01-06-2021#6Technical question ask before order placing1. Is a 150mm Semi-Rigid Aluminium Flexible hose able to extend in length, or is it only flexible to change orientation? 2. Is it possible to insert a smaller connector and secure it with pressure, similar to securing a PVC flexible hose? 3. Does this specification of hose support my cooker hood with a 17m^3/min suction rate and 820Pa pressure? 4. How do you support or fix the Semi-Rigid Aluminium Flexible hose to reduce vibration and noise when the cooker hood is running?
Question by Rico, 01-08-2023Hi Rico.
Semi-Rigid Duct arrives in a compressed state, and extends fully to 3m in length. If you are connecting it to another 150mm duct, then you would require a 150mm male connector. Hose clips must be used when connecting flexible duct to spigots or connections of any type.Semi-Rigis duct is suitable for cooker hood extractors, just keep the ducting as tort as possible (without splitting it) to maintain the best airflow. Least amount of bends as possible too.You can support it using banding, or split rings/suspension rings, depending on install type.Kind regards,MarcReplied by i-sells, 01-08-2023 -
