    insulated duct

does this extractor come with duct or do i buy separately, if so can it be used with insulated duct?

    Question by sim, 29-01-2016

    Hello Sim,

As a general rule no extractor fans are supplied by the manufacturer with ducting unless as part of a 'kit' - This is because each person's individual installation is different.

We supply a variety of insulated rigid and flexible insulated and non-insulated ducting. if you could describe further details of your installation plans to me I would be happy to help advise further.

    Kind regards,

    Michael

    manrose qf 100h

Can this fan be fitted directly over the shower and can it be switched on manually,as well as by the humidistat with an external switch.Thank you peter.

    Question by peter williams, 02-02-2016

    Hello Peter

Thank you for your question. The fan must not be accessible to a person using either the shower or bath and mounted a minimum of 1.8 metres from the floor. If you require a fan to be installed over the shower then you will require a selv fan (Safety Extra Low Voltage) these can be found on our website as there are quite a few to choose from. If you still require assistance please do not hesitate to contact me on 0208 463 9683

    Kind Regards

    Anita

    Question by susan kirsopp, 20-05-2019

    Hello Susan

I think the first call should be to the Manrose technical helpline and would recommend that you have someone with you that has some electrical knowledge as tey may run through a telephone diagnostic which may involve re setting the equipment. Their number is 01753 691399 and please ask for technical help.

Can this be used with the humidistat only?

Hi, please forgive my ignorance. I’m looking to use this fan in a small (10ft by 5ft) single skin brick shed/outbuilding to control humidity and hopefully prevent mould and rust buildup on tools/equipment etc. I have no need of the timer function and am looking for a fan to sense humidity and switch on as necessary with no input from switch. Would this product be suitable? And would you recommend an air brick on the opposite side of the building to further promote airflow. Thanks

    Question by Tom, 30-08-2023

    Good morning Tom.

In theory, yes, but you may need to build a housing for it on the inside, as the wall sounds like it won't be thick enough to house the fan spigot, the spigot on the back of the grill, and some ducting to connect them.
The fan will also need to be wired via a fused spur for safety.
a 100mm louvred grill on the outside would suffice.
    Kind regards,
    Marc
