    Suitable Fan

What duct fan would you recommend for this duct heater. I have a 22mtr x 12 mtr garage to heat would these be suitable and would three independantly controlled units ba sufficient. Is there a minimum/maximum length of duct?

    Question by David Andrews, 06-12-2021

    Hi David.

The fan would be needs to be the same size as the ducting. As you have chosen a 315mm Duct Heater, you would need a 315mm fan, however, the one you chose was 3phase. Do you have single or 2 phase electrics?
a 315mm single phase mixed flow fan can cope with 5m of straight ducting, if the ducting is going to be longer, then you need a centrifugal fan possibly. We would need to know some more information to give you an accurate answer.
    Kind regards,
    Marc.

    Fans/Heaters

Hi, I have contacted you before hopefully i can now give you more info. I have an area to heat, i want to use the heater above (there will be three independant) i want three phase to try and balance the load more effectively. Basically i want to mount the heater in a duct (near the output end) and then mount the fan further back, can you advise on which fan i should use, does there have to be an interlock between the fan and the heater in case the fan fails? can i use a standard room stat via a contactor for control? What is the best output spigot to put on the end. Thankyou
