Product Details:
The Kair air valve is ideal for moderate ventilation in all rooms that have no special fire protection requirements, such as toilets, cloakrooms, bathrooms, en-suites along with heat recovery ducting systems.
Used for both supply and exhaust air, and being constructed of stainless steel with a brushed finish ensures it is weatherproof and suitable for use in outdoor areas.
The wide edge evens out potential bumps on the wall or diameters of the opening, with the corresponding mounting ring ensuring a stable hold in thin materials such as ceiling panels or metal ducts, whilst also serving as a connection piece to flexible tubes.
Suitable for 100mm / 4" size ducting, the multi-purpose ceiling valve has a minimum free area of 3,479mm² with Control Disc 10mm open.
It has a male spigot for connection inside of the System 100mm duct and has a fully adjustable locking nut to fix the position of the controlled disc upon commissioning.
The DUCSS104 is supplied complete with a fixing body with pre-drilled holes for installation. Manufactured in compliance with Domestic Plastic Ductwork Specification DW/154 and does meet UL94HB flammability standard. SS104 has been designed for use with Kair System 100 Round.

Looks good, although was a bit battered and i had to put several washers in as it rattled like crazy then whistled like crazy with one washer. Not as robust as i would have liked for the money but decent enough -

Obviously the installation will be in the ceiling and being metal the surface will be cold and susceptible to condensation therefore, corrosion over time will be inevitable. If you mean the total external area of the vent, it is 140mm diameter.
