DETAILS
VENTAXIA FRESHVENT 100 (453200)
- Pullcord operated passive ventilator.
- Designed to provide filtered air from outdoors while mixing it efficiently with the air in the room.
- Adjustable to increase or reduce the free area and airflow to suit a particular environment.
Freshvent 100 is a range of passive ventilators that simply and naturally provide the effective ventilation needed by everyone working and living in an indoor environment. When used with positive pressure ventilation, Freshvent 100 provides an important outlet for air circulating around the house. Stale air is expelled through the unit to the outside without letting in noise and draughts.
This makes Freshvent 100 particularly suited to the ‘tight’ construction of new homes - and provides a stylish alternative to traditional slot/airbrick type ventilators. In addition, Freshvent 100 is ideal for older properties that have been refurbished with double glazing and loft insulation. They require ventilation to combat the problems associated with condensation.
Kitchens, utility rooms, bathrooms and toilets are rooms where conventional domestic extract fans are normally found. The natural ventilation principle of Freshvent 100 is particularly suitable for ‘clean’ living spaces such as bedrooms, lounges and work rooms.

Replied by i-sells, 06-05-2016#5Air ventWould this product be suitable to fix to a chimney brest where the chimney has been sealed, and condensation is occurring in the wall. Please ring the above number if you require further elucidation
Question by Alan Parker, 20-10-2016Hello Alan
If using the product indicated to ventilate a chimney this would normally be installed at low level and then install an Anti Down Draught cowl (spinner) on the chimney pot as available from the link below.http://www.flexifluedirect.comReplied by i-sells, 21-10-2016#6celler ventalatiowill this unit help to solve condensation in celer below house
Question by ALLAN MOLE, 06-02-2017Hello AllanThis depends on how big an area in the cellar. For passive ventilation to work cellars usually require some cross flow of air through strategic location of vents or a mixture of passive and extract or input ventilation.Replied by i-sells, 08-02-2017#7Small sealed roomWill a single unit like this work in a small cinema room with little ventilation? The air is often 'stale' and looking for a solution
Question by Barry Jesson, 06-04-2017Hello Barry
For a small sealed room you will need something more than passive ventilation. We would recommend controlled input and extract to facilitate air changes preferably with energy efficiency such as a heat recovery ventilator. There are quite a few systems on the market but for a relatively small room we would recommend either the Kair K-HRV150 or the Elta Mori HR150 these can be viewed by typing QS2838 and QS45491 into the orange search bar at the top of the i-sells page. Should you require additional information I can be contacted on 07956 818138.Replied by i-sells, 07-04-2017#8Ventaxia freshventIs this the 100db silent? Want it for bedroom to prevent noise coming in but allowing air change
Question by Chris Keady, 06-05-2017Hello Chris
If I understand your question correctly there is no noise from the vent itself as it is a passive ventilator and has no motor, as for outside noise passing through the vent this would largely depend on its location in relation to the source of outside noise pollution (for instance, facing a busy road). The Freshvent would certainly allow through less noise than an open window and is also adjustable, unlike a normal airbrick.Replied by i-sells, 08-05-2017#9Best position on the wallThinking to install Freshvent 100 in the one end of the room where the bi folding door is positioned at the other end, some 8 meters away. To gain best result to ventilate when door is shut, where should the vent be positioned on the wall-high or low?
Question by Doris White, 25-05-2017Hello Doris
The installation instructions show the unit being installed at high level approx 300mm below ceiling height.Replied by i-sells, 26-05-2017#10Passive air ventsthis pull cord controlled, is the pulled cord there to open and close the internal vents?, would it be possible to make it create a continues flow of air.
Question by Giuliano Biondi, 12-06-2017Hello Giuliano
Yes the pull cord enables you to regulate the airflow to requirements. If you required maximum air and did not want further adjustment it would be a simple case of removing the cord.Replied by i-sells, 13-06-2017#11Passive ventsDo passive vents allow cold air to come into the room please?

Question by tobiasphillips@gmail.com, 03-10-2022Good morning.
Passive vents should be installed high up, but at least 100mm from the ceiling as humidity rises. It would be better it you could position them opposite each other to get the best performance.Kind regards,MarcReplied by i-sells, 04-10-2022#14Air Flow RateWhat is the air flow rate ie does it comply with Bldg Regs 8000mm2
Question by Barry, 31-01-2024Good afternoon Barry. This vent has an Effective Free Area of 3200mm2.
If you need a passive vent that is at least 8000mm2, then look at the Rytons AC10LPWH.Kind regards,MarcReplied by i-sells, 31-01-2024 -
