#1Plate widthIm looking for a vent kit for my twice zircon unit now the summer is comming, how wide is the plate? it needs to be 5 inches so it can fit into the slot at the rear of the unit.

Thank you for your question. The plate size is 6". We do a spigot plate which the plate size is 5" but the spigot is only 75mm if you would like to have a look a the product the code is QS4216.

Replied by i-sells, 15-05-2015#2Spring loadedIs this item spring loaded so it remains shut until the fan is switched on. I am trying to cut down draughts on windy days.

The product utilises a gravity flap design; The flap will stay shut until air flows through the duct, pushing the flap open. When there is insufficient air pressure to keep the flap open, the flap will close naturally through gravity.
