Would be useful to know when the heater is on, perhaps with feedback to the display / on the unit?

Works very well in controlling the Drimaster without the need to get the step ladders out. Can put it in boost mode very easily when cooking or taking a bath etc.

Installed this with the drimaster and is an excellent addition. This is used to good effect if a shower produces excessive steam and condensation to allow for the user to boost the airflow. Not a cheap addition and maybe could be provided as a complete kit but would still highly recommend buying this.

This is just a must have for the drimaster. You still need to go up to change the numbered flow and so on but you can use this wireless to give a boost and add heat once you have figured out the top bit. Simple to adhesive to the wall with its sticky back too. And works further than expected!

    Location

Would it be ok to locate the out flow vent in a bathroom ?

    Question by Matthew Saint-Gregory, 28-11-2017

    Hello Matthew

You have sent the link to the 4 way switch control but I assume you are referring to the input air diffuser from the Drimaster Heat PIV.
The short answer to either though, is no as the switch is hard wired and not allowed for bathroom installation and the PIV is a whole house system and too powerful for a single room, the input air should be located in a ceiling at high level, preferably over the stairwell so that air is distributed throughout the dwelling. Bathroom ventilation should be extract or heat recovery, not positive input.

    Power Source

Hi, I have watched the video on this remote switch and it appears as a unit that is not connected to any power source, just binded and attached to a wall. However a previous answer suggests it needs to be hard wired. Can you confirm which is the case? Thanks

    Question by Adrian Stainsby, 09-12-2017

    Hi Adrian

The description of remote switch is purely one of being located away from the vicinity of the Drimaster it does need to be hard wired.

    power sauce// and permenant fixing

I have the switch. it must get power from somewhere but where as i cant see any battery compartment. also if i needed to make the fixing more solid than a sticky pad, is there a fixing plate design for it. Many Thanks.

    Question by Graham, 27-12-2017

    Hello Graham

Thank you for your question. Remove the switch fixing plate by inserting a flat head screwdriver in the rear ofthe switch on the left or right side, underneath the fixing plate and gently leverup the plate until the fixing lug releases, repeat for the opposite side. This willgive access to the battery compartment on the rear of the PCB and releases thefixing plate so that it can now be separately mounted to the wall (screws arenot provided). Reassemble the remaining components and press into place, anaudible click will be heard. 1x CR 2032 battery is provided and expected lifetimeis 6 years under normal use. As for the sticky pad this is provided as the switch will not fit into a single pattress box. If I can help any further please do not hesitate to contact me

    Kind Regards

    Boost Control Time

I have the DRI-ECO-HEAT-HC and the 4 way control switch (both very good products by the way) If I press the boost button before I go to bed it works just fine. When I get up in the morning it has gone back to normal speed. My question is how long does it boost for before going back to normal or should it stay on until I press the normal button again? I can't find any information on this in the manual. Thank you.

    Question by Austin Young, 09-01-2018

    Hello Austin

Thank you for your question. The boost button gives the occupant the option to temporarily increase the speed of the fan when high levels of moisture are being produced. The unit will revert back to its usual settings after two hours. If I can help any further please do not hesitate to contact me

    Kind Regards

    Switch wireing

Hi, I understand that this switch requires hard wiring to the DriMaster unit, what are the requirements for the cable, does it use twin&earth or simply data cable i.e. Alarm/telephone/ethernet ? Thanks chris

    Question by Chris Spencer, 13-01-2018

    Hello Chris

Thank you for your question. This controller is wireless. 1x CR 2032 battery is provided and expected lifetimeis 6 years under normal use.Normal - If the normal button is used the unit will return to its standardoperation programmed at the diffuser.Boost - If the boost button is used, the fan speed will increase to maximum anda ‘P’ will be shown in the display.

    Red light

Hi we have had the 4 way heater & boost control switch installed for just over 12 months. When I press the controls now I receive a red light instead of the usual green light .Does this mean the battery needs replacing or has the control become unlinked to the air unit? Regards Ray

    Question by Ray Bayliss, 01-08-2021

Good morning Ray. It would appear the switch is no longer bounded to the unit. See instructions on how to bind it below.

Once the fan unit is in binding mode a switch may now be bound.1. Press and hold the ‘Boost’ & 'Heater off' button for 2-5 seconds.2. The LED will flash GREEN twice when bound. To check the binding of a switch, press “boost”. A green LED denotesthat the switch is bound and the fan should run at full speed. A red LEDdenotes that the switch is not bound.
If you have any further issues, give us a call quoting the serial number of the unit itself.
    Kindest regards,
    Marc

    Drimaster 4 way switch

Hi, I am looking at purchasing the Drimaster DRI-ECO-HEAT-HC along with the 4 way heater switch. I am still unsure if I need the heated version or not as I do have a radiator which is located on my hallway almost directly under the location of where the PIV unit will go however the 4 way switch does have a 'heater off' button. I am therefore thinking of playing it safe and buying the heater version with the switch which should allow me to turn the heater off when the central heating is on. My question is if I push the heater off button will it remain off until I next push the button, or, does it turn the heater off for a set period of time like the boost function?

    Question by Matt Evans, 01-03-2023

Good morning Matt. The heater button on the 4-way switch does activate and de-activate the heater, so if you turn it off, it will stay off until you decide to turn it back on again.

    Kind regards,

    Marc.
