T-Series range is fitted with a Vent-Axia M-Tech motor, developed to improve performance and lower running costs, and maintain T-Series' rugged reliability. A patented speed control pack is simply plugged in one of 3 positions to provide low, medium or boost speed matching the fan performance to the requirements of the installation. Designed for use in single or double glazing and most types of glass and material up to 32mm thick. Greater thicknesses can be accommodated using extended fixing rod sets. Alternatively, the T-Series range can be used in conjunction with Vent-Axia ventilation accessories in flexible and rigid ducting systems to suit individual requirements. The fan can also be mounted in a fixing plate on walls, in ducts or above ceilings.

With energy saving in mind TX models are supplied complete with an integral instantaneous automatic louvre shutter concealed behind the interior grille. It operates on both extract and intake and at any angle of mounting.
| Best Practice |
Sensors and auto mode controllers save energy by only switching the ventilation units on when needed and when the room is occupied. The shutter is electronically controlled by an actuator with a damped action giving quiet operation during instant opening and closing. The interlocking edges of the shutter blades provide maximum backdraught protection. When the ventilating unit is used with a T-Series controller, the shutter can be set open with the fan motor switched Off to provide natural ventilation without the security risk of an open window. The Size 6 model provides the necessary trickle ventilation control to meet Building Regulation Requirements in domestic applications. This is particularly suited to Scottish Building Regulations Document K2.2 and 2.16. Suitable for running at any angle. Quiet running, enclosed.

Supply and install a T-Series Window fan as manufactured by Vent-Axia Ltd, Fleming Way, Crawley, West Sussex, RH10 9YX Telephone: 01293 526062. The fan should be designed for use in single or double glazing and most types of glass and materials up to 32mm thick and should be able to achieve greater thickness with the use of extended fixing rods. The fan should have a speed control pack which enables high, medium and low speed to be set to suit room size or required duty. The fan should be fully reversible and be able to be controlled by using variable speed controller or by humidity, air quality or PIR sensors. The fan should incorporate an electronically controlled instantaneous shutter mechanism that has a facility to be in an open state without the fan running for passive ventilation. The unit should meet with Document F of the Building Regulations and be BEAB approved. The motor should be suitable to run at any angle and suitable for operation in ambient temperatures from -40°C to +50°C. and should be fitted with self resetting Standard Thermal Overload Protection (S.T.O.P.)
