The Microtech Wood Preservatives can be used to deal with all remedial timber treatment situations. Based on the pyrethroid insecticide permethrin; for the prevention and eradication of Common Furniture Beetle (Anobium punctatum) and other wood boring insects in building timbers. Permethrin's well known effectiveness as a remedial insecticide is enhanced even further by the special properties of our microemulsion system allowing optimum pesticide dosing (synergistic action). Dual Purpose also contains the well known triazole fungicide propiconazole and 3-lodo-2-propynyl-butyl carbamate, giving a general purpose treatment for insect attack and to protect timbers at risk from fungal decay (dry rot/wet rot) during adrying period following the elimination of sources of moisture.
