What is the difference between the two Airflow Echo Extractor bathroom fans, what does the humidistat do, thanks.
Hi Janet, and thanks for your question. The humidistat is a sensor in the fan that detects increased levels of humidity. This is most common when you take a shower or bath. This will then boost the fan for a period of time until the levels are back to normal. It can usually be pre-set to 40-60%. This is a major benefit, as it gives you the extra peace of mind that the fan will be running long enough to bring the levels down. Other than that they boost when you turn the light switch on, which you wouldn't do in the summer months.
