Looks great. Arrived on time. Can't comment on performance as it's not yet installed.... -

Great fan, with plenty of external static pressure for longer duct runs. quite a lot of duct noise though when running at high speed. I've got it connected to approx 1.5m of rigid duct and a ceiling grille and it is quite noisy. I've not tried it on low speed though, so it may be more acceptable. -

This item was twice the price of a another poular brand. However the last product only lasted for 2 months which was in itself a very expensive purchase. So bit the bullet and gone for the Vent Axia. really easy to install and was up and running in no time. Hopefully this will last a lot longer and I have no doubt it will. -

#1Bathroom Extractor FanOur bathroom is 2m W x 2m D x 2.28m H and 4 people use the shower around 90% of the time. Bathroom is upstairs and has a skylight window. We have a lot of condensation and mould has started to appear in the ceiling. Please advise if this is the best for our bathroom. Thank you.

I will reply to your question in a separate e-mail.
Replied by i-sells, 07-05-2015#2Extra ductingHi, can you advise whether I need to purchase extra ducting or fixtures to install this purchase? Thanks
Question by Ms Green, 25-05-2015100mm round ducting can be found here: http://www.i-sells.co.uk/ducting-system-100
An electrician or competent person should have no problems wiring this unit usually with a 3 amp fused spur with a switched live to initiate timer control.
If you are replacing an existing 100mm Timer controlled fan, then no additional ducting or fixtures should be required.Replied by i-sells, 25-05-2015#3Over RunHello can you please tell me if this fan does have an over run timer fitted to it please many thanks.
Question by Lennard, 17-08-2015Hello Lennard,
Yes it does, this is the timer version fan.Replied by i-sells, 17-08-2015#4Switch for controlCan one use this fan with just a on /off ceiling switch for control.
Question by mark smith, 20-08-2015Hello Mark,
Yes you can but please refer to the Wiring Instructions page 3 for more information. If you are not sure how to wire this fan, make sure you get a qualified electrician to fit it.Thank youReplied by i-sells, 20-08-2015#5Using with humidity sensorCould you tell me if this unit can be used with a humidity sensor and if it can which would you suggest? I have been looking at the Kair product: Quick Search: QS2872 but I notice it has a max air velocity of 15 m/s whereas the extractor is rated between 52 and 71 m/s. Many thanks.
Question by Peter Godwin, 07-10-2015Hello Peter,
The Kair K-HC Humidistat Controller can be used with the ACM100 Standard Fan but not with the ACM100T (Timer) model.
The 15 m/s figure refers to the air flowing past the sensor rather than the airflow capabilities of the fan.
Kind regards,

If it runs on 24Volts do I require an external transformer or this is in within the unit? I am asking this question because I saw this unit advertised elswhere for 24Volts Operation. Thank you Regards, Ody
Question by Odyssefs Kyrialidis, 07-11-2015Hello Odyssefs,
Thank you for your question. The Vent-Axia ACM100T is a 220-240V mains operated unit. You can find more Technical Details Here.Replied by i-sells, 09-11-2015#7Roof ventUsing your bathroom extractor with the motor in the loft, do you need to extract the air from the motor to the outside or can you use the roof space
Question by Richard Batt, 01-12-2015Hello Richard,
We would normally recommend ducting the unit to the outside because otherwise you will simply be moving the moisture-laden warm air into the loft space which could lead to serious mould, condensation, and possibly even rot issues in the loft void.
As an alternative you could always check duct towards existing soffit vents, or through the roof via a roof cowl (Product: GALHU-100) and appropriate dektite flashing for the pipe. Please do not hesitate to contact me direct if you would like me to put together a basket for you.
Kind regards,
MichaelReplied by i-sells, 13-01-2016#8ducting and loss of powerI have a 3.5 metre long duct from cooker hood to through wall to air ventilation. I anticipated that there will also be 1 possibly 2 right angle turns. I propose to use 100 mm plastic solid trunking with an in line motor like yours to add to the flow of the cooker hood fan. I understand that the air flow will drop by up to 50% with each right angle turn, Can you see any issue here for me?
Question by bill thompson, 12-12-2015Hello Bill
Thank you for your e-mail. The ACM100T fan will do your application. The airflow will drop but not by 50%. The drop in pascals at 30l/s will be 21.10.
If you need any further help please do not hesitate to contact me on 0208 463 9683
Kind Regards
Anita
Replied by i-sells, 17-12-2015#9Manrose MF100T & Ventaxia ACM100TBoth the above have two speeds, is it possible on either, to control the speed from the bathroom below or will I have to go into the attic each time to alter the speed. Which is the most quiet inline extractor fan you sell.
Question by David Shelling, 09-01-2016Hello David
Thank you for your question. The MF100t & ACM100t both have timers that you set before install. If you want to control the speed then the MF100s & the ACM100 can be controlled by a speed controller. The code for the MF100s speed controller is QS6285 and the speed controller for the ACM100s is QS3673.

Thank you for your question. This fan does an 8mtr straight run or a 6mtr with two bends.
Replied by i-sells, 01-02-2016#12PIRHello, I currently have this ACM100T fan and have it controlled by a light switch. I wish to purchase another for my en-suite and was wondering if this fan could instead be operated by a simple pull cord alone and not a light switch. Also, could I maybe use this fan with a PIR sensor? If so which PIR do you recommend and what else would be needed to make it work? Thanks
Question by I ALi, 23-07-2016Hello and thank you for your questionAccording to the datasheet it recommends the unit should be wired to a switch 'such as' the light switch and this appears in that case to be an option so I cannot see why any other switching shouldn't be used. However, I would recommend reading the wiring diagrams before ordering and these are available by clicking on the product picture which opens up to a full page with added information including, on the right of the page a 'download product pdf's' and these contain the information required.Datasheet also says the system can work with PIR but only Vent Axia models and both of these are on our system, search for QS3680 and QS3681RegardsIanReplied by i-sells, 25-07-2016#13ACM100Tcan i purchase VA ceiling grille& spigot& louvre soffit fascia, why is this fan not available as a complete kit,do Xpelair do a complete kit,no LEDlight required,if it means buying separate fittings from different manufacturers I will get a refund, appreciate any advice
Question by gez, 01-05-2017Hello Gez
Thank you for your question. Unfortunately this fan does not come as a complete kit due to every install being different IE: Duct runs are different. We do in-line duct kits which come with a 3 meter flexible ducting hose these can be found on our website. If I can help any further please do not hesitate to contact meKind RegardsAnitaReplied by i-sells, 02-05-2017#15wiringwhere can I find wiring diagram for installation of ACM-100T extractor fan
Question by Caesar, 10-05-2017Hello Caesar
Thank you for your question. The wiring diagram can be found on the PDF on our website.Kind RegardsAnitaReplied by i-sells, 10-05-2017#16Can this be used with clothes dryerHello, I need to find an in-line fan to boost airflow from the dryer. The fan would be installed about 1m from dryer output and push the air thru about 6m of ducting. If so can you also indicate where I can find anti-vibe mountings. Thanks
Question by Dale, 23-05-2017Hello Dale
There may be an issue here with the output (exhaust) rate from the dryer not matching the extraction from the in-line fan. If the fan is installed in duct connected to the dryer with an exhaust rate of X yet the dryer only has an exhaust rate of Y where does the replacement air come from? And will this put stress on the motor and impeller?Replied by i-sells, 24-05-2017#17Extractor capacityHello, I am looking install the fan using 110x54 ducting for a straight run of 3.5M. There are 2 bathrooms of1.9 x1.9M & 1.6x1.7M both 2.3 M high. Would this fan have enough power to clear both rooms if both showers were running? 99% of the time it would only be 1 being used at a time. Thanks
Question by Wayne, 04-06-2018Hello Wayne
The unit referred to is more than capable of the extraction required for both rooms even if they were in use at the same time.Replied by i-sells, 04-06-2018#18Ducting through loftI'd like to install ACM100T by ducting from ceiling in shower room, through loft, and out through soffit. Could you recommend a ducting system/basket that I could use? What is best, rigid plastic ducting or flexible aluminium ducting? As there is plaster board, joists, and rock wool insulation, what is the best way to mount the fan in this type of ducting. Can back draught shutters be fitted with flexible aluminium ducting, or just rigid plastic ducting? Many thanks! Mick
Question by Mick, 12-10-2019Thank you for your question. This fan will do a straight duct run of 8mtrs or 6mtrs with two bends incorporated within the run. It is recommended that insulated ducting is used as condensation could form due to the warm air meeting the cold air. You can use either flexible insulated duct or insulated rigid duct or if your loft is insulated this can be wrapped around the rigid pipe. If using flexible ducting please make sure that it is pulled very taught so that the air flow is consistent. The fan can be mounted to the joist and to avoid any vibration you could place a mat under the unit.Back draught shutters can be installed either with flexible or rigid ducting. If I can help any further please do not hesitate to contact meKind RegardsAnitaReplied by i-sells, 14-10-2019 -
