KAIR SYSTEM 150 ROUND DUCTING / HOSE / PIPE CONNECTOR
Product Details:
Straight plastic duct connector fits inside rigid or flexible ducting
White plastic straight ducting connector. Male spigot will fit inside Kair 150mm rigid pipe (Part: "DUCVKC670") or 152mm Flexible Hose (Part: "DUCP0092/152/35") and can be used to join multiple lengths of pipe together to form a long duct run.
- Easy to install and durable, just push-fit duct and fittings together.
- Round rigid ducting provides superior airflow performance vs. comparative size rectangular or flexible duct.
- Suitable to use in compliance with Part F Building Regulations.
- For permanent fixings, seal joints with silicone sealant, solvent cement, or tape.
- Built to last out of high-quality white Polystyrene/Polypropylene plastic Material.
- Max / Min Temperature: +60c / -15c.
Kair System 150 (SYS-150) round ducting provides superior airflow performance when compared with smaller diameter systems. It is perfect for long duct runs for high power extraction systems and whole-house ventilation purposes where pressure drop needs to be minimised.

As can be seen by close examination of the photograph, this is the same component as the non-return damper but without the damper flap. This means that it has an internal lip all the way round which impedes air flow. Having scored the lip with a knife it breaks off quite easily. The pivot carrier (also visible in the picture) can also be removed with slightly more effort. Having expended all that effort you end up with a reasonable component albeit a rather expensive (compared with the 125mm equivalent, for example, at less than one third the price).

#2ducting systemI have a new Mercury Cooker Hood and I have purchased a 6 inch (the cooker hood) to 4 inch (flexible hose) adaptor but the hood when switched on has two flaps that open outwards. There is not enough clearance on the adaptor for the flaps to fully open. If I bought two 150mm Round Straight Connectors would these link together giving me 100mm clearance for the flaps to open and to which the 6 inch to 4 inch reducer would also fit

Thank you for your question. The two straight connectors will not fit together as a piece of pipe would be needed as the connectors are male and require a female pipe or sleeve to join them together. You could fit the pipe onto the cooker hood and cut to the length required then add a 150 straight connector to join the pipe to the reducer.
