Is the motor considered noisy for such application?
Question by Joseph Busuttil, 18-01-2018Hello Joseph
The product to which you are referring is a duct heater designed to warm air as it passes through an air input duct of a ventilation system. We would not recommend this is used for a bathroom as we do not recommend input or supply air to bathrooms as they should have extraction for the dispersal of water vapour.Replied by i-sells, 18-01-2018#9Heater controlGood afternoon, how is the temp set and controlled on this unit. Also can it be controlled via air flow switch
Question by James Darlison, 04-10-2022Hello James
Thank you for your question. The duct heater is designed to operate on single phase, two phase or three phase alternating current and comes in a varietyof versions with, or without, built-in control equipment. The duct heater must be connected to the mains supply with a fixed installed round cable. Appropriate cable glands mustbe used to retain the electrical protection class. Duct heater versions CBMF, has a built-in electronic interlocking airflow sensor that ensures that the heating elementswill not actuate, unless there is an appropriate airflow through the duct heater. The electronic interlocking device is set foran airflow limit of approximately 1.5 m/s. The inlet air must be filtered to reduce the risk of contamination of the airflowsensor A multi pole switch must be included in the fixed installation. The installation must be carried out by an authorized electrician. The heater is S-marked, CE-marked, EMC-marked and designed in accordance with the following standards:SEMKO 111 FA 1982 / / EN 61000-6-2. The duct heater is equipped with two overheating cut-outs (of which one is manual reset), to prevent overheating whenthe airflow is too low or in case of a fault in the system. A drawing must be attached inside the fuse box or on the wall of the service room. The drawing shows the rating of theduct heater and its location in the building, together with information about the measures to be taken if the overheatingcut-outs is activated.10. Since the sensor circuitry, for heaters type CBM and CBMF, is not galvanic separated from the power supply, care must betaken when the sensor are connected due to the mains voltage level.11.. Duct heater versions CB and CBM,EN 60335-1 / EN 60335-2-30 / EN 61000-6-3 / EN 61000-3 This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities,or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of theappliance by a person responsible for their safety. Furthermore, it must notbe possible to switch off the associated fan unless the power supply to the heater has been turned off in advance or turnedoff at the same time. The air speed through the heater must be at least 1.5 m/I hope this has answered your questions but if you require any further help please do not hesitate to come back to meKind RegardsAnitaReplied by i-sells, 06-10-2022 -
