    Contents

    How Does It Work?

Simply use the miracle mould removing cleaner to quickly and effectively remove mould from the wall.
Then add the breakthrough mould fighting solution to the paint you want to redecorate with.

The Kair mould destroying kit includes a 15% saving on what you would spend to buy the pieces individually.

How Much Wall Space Can one Kit Treat?

The Kair mould destroying kit is specially designed to treat one medium sized room. The miracle mould removing cleaner can cover approximately 30 - 40 metres2. The 2 breakthrough mould fighting solutions you get in this kit, allows you to transform two 2.5 litres pots of paint into mould destroying paint.

Use this kit in any area of the home, including bathrooms, kitchens, living rooms, bedrooms, windows, sills, or anywhere you are experiencing black mould growth! The surface cleanser allows you to clean mould off walls, while the additive can be combined with paint or wallpaper paste to form an anti-mould barrier!

    Application:

Brushes used to apply the mixed paint: These should be treated in the same way as when using normal emulsion paint, which will probably already contain an in-can preservative. Remove any excess product from the brush by wiping on the rim of the can, so the excess goes back into the container. Further material can be removed by painting out onto newspaper (which can be disposed of as normal household waste). The remaining product can be cleaned under running water as normal.

Sponges and cloths: The active ingredient in the Surface Cleanser is readily biodegradable (which is why it will only give temporary protection against moulds and needs to be over-painted with a biocidal paint for long-term protection) and is common to most antibacterial wipes found on supermarket shelves. Cloths and sponges used for application or to wipe up spillages can be rinsed under running water and re-used another time. The active sludge in sewerage treatment works will break down the active ingredient without problems.

Empty Surface Cleanser bottles: When diluting the product, half fill the bottle with water, replace the cap and shake vigorously. Empty the water into the diluted product. Repeat the process to clean the bottle and then remove the label. The bottle can then be put into the household re-cycling (except the cap, which is made of mixed plastics and cannot currently be re-cycled).

Empty Mould Eradication Additive bottles: Rinse as above (the additive is fully water soluble), but put the rinse water into the paint (there’s insufficient to dilute the paint significantly). The bottle, minus label and cap, can again be re-cycled.

Mixed paint: Can be stored in the same way as normal paint. The additive will actually extend the shelf-life as it will protect against bacterial spoilage.

Skin contact: Simply wash with soap and water as you would with any paint on the skin. The British Coatings Federation always recommend wearing gloves (disposable or household), when painting as some individuals can be susceptible to sensitization from some of the additives used in paint, although this is rare.

Stored diluted Surface Cleanser: Clearly mark the container with an indelible pen or label. Never use a food or drink container for storage. Keep in the shed or a suitable secure cupboard with other household cleaners. The product will store indefinitely once mixed, but will slowly lose its effectiveness, so should be used within 2 years.

    Mould removal

Hi, will this remove black mould from the sealant around a shower tray?

    Question by Neal Hammond, 17-01-2017

    Hi Neal

That depends how pitted the sealant is, mould on ceramic tiles will wipe down and the MCP creates a temporary biocide surface, tile grout and sealant can be a different story as mould can eat into silicone and tile grout.
After cleaning, although the mould spores are physically eradicated it leaves what is known as ghosting or the appearance of still being present.
If unsightly it is probably better to cut it out and reseal.

    Mould on Artex ceiling

I have a problem with mould on the top of a bedroom wall where the previous occupier had pushed bedding between the top of a wardrobe and the ceiling. Both the wall and the ceiling are black with the resultant condensation mould. Is your product safe to use on an artexed ceiling - some mould remover products are not. Your reply would be appreciated. Thankyou

    Question by lucy, 06-03-2017

    Hello Lucy
I think the other suppliers are being cautious and because we don't know the ingredients of the Artex on your ceiling I would be inclined to agree. I would suggest using soapy water or sugar soap to clean off the spores, as long as it is 'wet' cleaned spores will not become airborne.
Some ''ghosting'' is likely to remain anyway (dark areas where the mould was before cleaning) and you will probably need to redecorate at some point.
    I hope this helps

    Pressure washer

Can this product be used in a Qualcast pressure washer to clean algae of outside walls of house please?

    Question by Stan, 21-06-2017

    Hello Stan

Thank you for your question. This surface cleaner has to be painted or rolled on as it needs time to react with the mould/algae and applying with a pressure washer would not do the application. The additives in the box are to be added to paint for redecoration. If i can help any further please do not hesitate to contact me.

    Kind Regards
    Anita

    100% Humidy abroad

I live in Sierra Leone. Its VERY humid country and the heavy terrestrial rainfall from March October 99% of the country walls and building are effected by mould, damp and wall cracks.Any solution.

    Question by Adnan Bahsoon, 19-08-2017

    Hello Adnan

The Kair mould control pack is a biocide treatment and paint additive that will prevent mould growth for several years. When condensation forms on the surface the biocide is activated and inhibits the reproductive cycle of moulds. The answer to reducing surface moisture (condensation) is to create air movement and air change through ventilation. On hot humid days surface moisture cannot evaporate if the vapour laden air is present around the surface as the two are in equilibrium, if (through ventilation fans) the stagnant air can be moved away from the surface evaporation can occur. It is similar in action to being cooled by a desk fan. When we get hot the body tries to shed heat through the skin via the medium of sweat but if the air surrounding the body is also hot and humid it ceases to able to do so because the body heat and humidity are in equilibrium with the air heat and humidity. What a desk fan does is blow away the surrounding air breaking the equilibrium and allowing the body to shed heat. So, air drying through air movement. I hope this helps.
