#1dimensionscan you give me the overal length of the 500-355 reducer and the dimension/centre line radious of a 355 90deg. fabricated bend. i need to know the total overall length of the two when fitted together. thanks
Question by ALAN JAGO, 03-03-2017Hello Alan
The dimensions quoted are all subject to manufacturing tolerances but according to the manufacturers datasheet are as follows:-500x355 reducer, centre measurement, between spigots = 234mmSpigot length = 60mm x 290 degree bend is (there must be a mathematical equation to explain this?) 355mm between spigots. To connect the two requires a female/female coupling which is 125mm total length (60mm x 60mm with 5mm flange). So total length when fixed to round duct - nom 234mm + 125mm + 355mm = 714mmI hope I have read your question correctly.Replied by i-sells, 03-03-2017#2extra equipmentDo you need any fitting devices to connect it to a tube or a fan which is waht i am wanting to connect it to?
Question by Stuart Moore, 17-09-2023Good morning Stuart. These reducers are male either end, so one end will go inside the ducting, but the other end will require a female connector to connect it to the fan.
Kind regards,MarcReplied by i-sells, 18-09-2023#3tools requiredwith this product we are removing the elbow and putting a reducer on direct to the fan. what tools will we need to do this?
Question by Stuart Moore, 19-09-2023Good morning Stuart. I refer to my previous response.
Good morning Stuart. These reducers are male either end, so one end will go inside the ducting, but the other end will require a female connector to connect it to the fan.Be aware that reducing from a 500mm fan to a 355mm duct will significantly restrict the airflow causing quite a lot of resistance. You would only be able to run the fan at the lower fan speeds.Kind regards,MarcReplied by i-sells, 19-09-2023 -
