The item is indeed rigid yet bendable with a feel somewhere between a soda can and tin can for food but the external diameter is closer to 131-132mm even when stretched out, not the stated 128. -

#1I need 200mm mm Dia with 225 mm of movment on the vertical plain would it be more advisable to use the flexible ducting as apposed to this semi rigid flex?
Question by Allan Dorward, 05-10-2015Hello Allan
Thank you for your question. The semi rigid ducting can be manipulated into a 90 degree bend or an S shape. Where as with the flexible ducting if any bends are to be incorporated then the flexi duct needs to be pulled very tight so that the flexi does not fold back into it self and restricts airflow
Replied by i-sells, 06-10-2015#2Insulationwhat insulation is available for this ducting?
Question by Deepak, 08-12-2015Hello Deepak
Thank you for your question. We do duct wrap in two sizes. The product codes for these items are. QS7877, QS5187
Replied by i-sells, 08-12-2015#30.5 me of semi-rigid flexible alum ductingI only need 0.5 m of 125mm ducting is it possible to buy in small quantities?
Question by Richard Cox, 29-09-2016Hello Richard
I assume you mean 0.5m when extended, in which case this product (new) would not be available in that length. What you are looking for is an off cut from an installer. The next obvious question is what do you need it for as an alternative product may suit your requirements in both size and application?RegardsIanReplied by i-sells, 30-09-2016#4Installation of airflow humidistatI am installing a ceiling mounted airflow extractor fan in my utility room and will be using the semi-rigid ducting which will pass through an unheated loft. The duct will rise vertically for about 60cm and then bend 90degrees to pass through side wall of the house some 3m away. Do I need to insulate the duct? and will I need a condensation trap just above the point at which the duct enters the loft?
Question by Carmel Zammit, 19-10-2016Hello Carmel
In this situation we would definitely recommend insulation as there is a high probability of condensation forming in the duct.If insulated you may get away with not having to install a condensation trap, particularly if after the 90 degree bend you can run the horizontal section to slight falls causing any condensation to drain away.I hope this helps.IanReplied by i-sells, 21-10-2016#5DuctingHi do you offer an external grill for 125 flexi ducting
Question by chris Horwel, 24-11-2016Hi Chris
We have quite a range and suitable type will depend largely on what you are extracting from, if you type - grille 125 - into the Quick Search bar a range of options will appear, I hope this helps.Replied by i-sells, 25-11-2016#6flexible ductingHello. I need 125mm ducting to pass through a cavity wall, but it is a very tight fit through the drilled hole. I have tried plastic flexi-hose, but it is easily damaged and very noisy. Can you tell me the external diameter of your semi-rigid aluminium ducting, please? Would this be a better choice than plastic, or can you suggest any other products in this situation? Thanks very much.
Question by Colin, 15-10-2018Hello Colin
If the hole has been cut using a standard 127mm core drill you are probably better off using a short section of 125mm rigid pipe in plastic, we do this in 350mm lengths for standard cavity walls, if your wall is thicker then you would need 1m length and cut to size, the search codes for both of these products are QS219 and QS221Replied by i-sells, 15-10-2018#7External DiameterIn the gallery the ED is 132 but in Tech Details it says 127. Which is more accurate?
Question by Matthew, 22-07-2023Hello Matthew
Thank you for your question. The semi rigid comes compressed so the OD will be 132mm you will need to extended it to its 3mtr length for the diameter it reduce to 127mm. Please come back to me if you have any further questionsKind ReagrdsAnitaReplied by i-sells, 24-07-2023 -
