#1Connect to 4inch pipeCan I use an adaptor to connect the outflow to my existing 4inch pipe
Question by George Tyson, 22-09-2015Hello George
Thank you for your question. Your pipe is a female connector and the connectors on the fan are male so no connector is needed, but if you are connecting two female connectors together then a male connector will be needed which is QS37, but if you are connecting two male connections together then a female sleeve will be needed. QS1586.
Replied by i-sells, 22-09-2015#2BathroomHallo. Can this extrator be mounted in the loft space and used to extract steam and moisture from a bathroom
Question by Arthur Nutter, 26-04-2016Hello Arthur
Thank you for your question. Yes this fan can be mounted in the loft but your duct run would need to be known as this fan only does runs up to 3m either side of the fan (6m). If I can help any further please do not hesitate to contact me on 0208 463 9683
Kind Regards
Anita
Replied by i-sells, 26-04-2016#3Duct SizeHi I have an axial fan serving my bathroom at the moment but it does not clear the steam from the shower when the door is closed. It is served by 125mm ducting so the hole through the wall is 125mm. Will it be OK to use 150/125 reduces on this fan to accomodate the existing ducting or will this compromise the fans performance? Regards John Shaw
Question by John Shaw, 16-05-2016Hello John
Thank you for your question. The Aventa in-line Fan does come in 125mm so you would not need the reducers. Also if your duct run is 6mtrs then this fan will do you application (3mtrs either side of the fan). If your duct run is more than 6mtrs then the MF125 will do an 8mtr straight run or 6mtrs with 2 bends incurred. These fans are fitted in a ceiling void on in the bathroom and ducted out. If I can help any further please do not hesitate to contact me on 0208 463 9683
Kind Regards
Anita

Replied by i-sells, 20-05-2016#5Sufficient airflowdoes connecting this fan to an existing 100mm external duct reduce its efficiency? we have an access problem to the outside of the building which makes it difficult to core a new 150 mm hole
Question by David Hall, 19-08-2016Hello David
The short answer is yes if you are reducing from 150mm to 100mm in a very short run it will reduce the efficiency, the question is do you need to try forcing this much air through a small duct or can another unit do it more efficiently. Tell us the application and what you are trying to achieve and we may be able to help with an alternative.RegardsIanReplied by i-sells, 19-08-2016#64 metre duct on outlet sideWe need a fan that can be used 4 metres away from the outside wall. The inlet duct (vacuum side) will only be 1 metre, making a total duct length of 5 metres. Is this fan suitable please?
Question by Paul, 16-12-2016Hi Paul
The manufacturers datasheet says suitable for up to 6m ducting (though they will mean this to be straight with no bends).Replied by i-sells, 19-12-2016#7Warm air heatingI have a piazetta 15kw pellet burner with two fans supplying warm air. One with a direct vent and insulated ducting to the upstairs. This is where I have the issue . The fire fan delivers 250 cubic meters of air but over the run of the ducting I get both huge losses in airflow and heat. Can I fit an in line fan to drag and push higher volumes of hot air throughout the upstairs system?
Question by robert.james@orange.fr, 11-01-2017Hello Robert
The short answer is yes, I just need to know the diameter of the ducting upstairs and the length of the run from furnace fan to upper floor termination?Replied by i-sells, 12-01-2017#8Fan speedCan the fan speed be set on one speed to save having to replace the pull cord in the shower room or will I need to rewire and fit a new switch.
Question by Kevin Kimbley-Brown, 31-08-2018Hi Kevin,
I will be sending you the user information (to your e-mail address) which includes the wiring diagrams, from what I have seen it appears you can connect to any existing switch or pull cord.Replied by i-sells, 03-09-2018#9Duct LengthsThe spec for the fan on your site states that 3m of duct can be used either side of the fan, can I assume that this is the maximum length while maintaining the flow rate. Could I use a longer length and reduce the flow rate, it needs to maintain 216 cubic meters/hour into around 11m of duct.
Question by Nik, 19-09-2018Hello NikThank you for your question. If you have an 11 meter run this fan will not do your application. The ILF range will do a 12meter straight run with a meter to be reduced if any bends are in the run. If I can help any further please do not hesitate to contact meKind RegardsAnitaReplied by i-sells, 19-09-2018#10Aventa AV150 - 150mm In-Line Mixed Flow Fan (9041089)Can it be use in domestic kitchen environment ? What are the flow rate ?
Question by Jim, 03-12-2020Hello Jim
Thank you for your question. Yes the fan can be used for a kitchen application but you may require a filter box if no cooker hood is being used. Also if your duct run is less than 6mtrs then this fan will work. The flow rates are below.
