- Galvanised Metal Roof Cowl for use with Galvanised Spiral Ducting
- Provided with a female connection which will fit over our Galvanised Spiral Ducting.
- Can also be used with Kair Plastic Ducting range – Will fit over pipe and will need to be sealed.
- All fittings are produced in accordance with DW144 and have a rolled edge making handling safer, and improving alignment and concentricity.

Hi,
We`re building a garden kichen insulated cedar shingle pitched roofed structure and would like to install your Hu Roof Cowl-400mm Model GALHU-400.
The kichen fumes internal 6mm thick steel pipe 400mm dia will be connected to your proposed 400mm spiral ducting sealed through the roof and connected to the Hu Roof Cowl.
Could you please advise your suggestions for your supply of products, prices and deliveries for the pipe/spiral ducting connection, spiral ducting, roof seal, Cowl and all necessary clips and sealing compounds and tape.

i have kitchen with no window up on the roof i have a 100 mm striaght pipe up , i was thinking about ducting my cooker hood 150mm very small distance with one bend, , can i run up into this prodcut , , i was wondering after watching som videos about the air hole at the end, , them dotted holes are somwhat near the square inch , , would this work, i know i would loose some percentage with bend degrees in pipes but what about 150mm getting suck up into that grill...would it still be better than recerculation, , or would a spertate extractor 100mm and just use cooker hoods recerculation, , cherrs

If you cooker hood has a 150mm spigot then I would suggest the ducting stays at 150mm as 1 you may impede your warranty and 2 you will restrict the airflow. If you have a 102mm drill hole already this can be made bigger to 152mm then you would require flashing and a HU-Cowl 150mm. This doesnt have a mesh unfortunately. It is intended for exhaust only, and not intake, so there are no free air specifications for it. Our products are for air ventilation systems such as Extractor fans and heat recovery units.Kindest regards, Marc.

My builder has used Polypipe 160mm (outside diameter, actually between 159mm & 160mm) drain pipe for the roof penetration. Is the 160mm the correct size or is it to fit a 160 nominal duct that is actually bigger?

If not suitable - which hose would work?answer nowA Hello Stephen Thank you for your question. The cowl has to be riveted or screwed to the duct work so flexible hose will not do the application. You will require rigid pipe which comes in 1&2mtr lengths in plastic and 3mtr lengths in metal. I could not confirm whether it would be suitable to connect to your particular plastic pipe, but it does fit over our 150mm pipe (DUCVKC670) which has an outer diameter of 154mm so if your pipe has a matching diameter it might fit.Kind regards, [email protected]
