Yes pretty much.If you look at page 9 of the installation instructions, it suggest cleaning the heat exchanger.Remove Retaining Plate, Carefully slide out the Heat Exchanger Fig 25 & 26 and wash in warmwater using a mild detergent, dry thoroughly and re assemble in reverse order to above.Kind regards, Marc
