A sturdy quality fan. Quiet and easy to install.Only live and neutral wires to connect. A fairly large fan so check dimensions will fit your installation space. Speed choice achieved by connecting the neutral wire to one of two terminals. -

Easy to fit and service, literally remove a couple of screws, the fan can be removed from the base for easy installation, the end panels/funnels remove so it's easy to then separately wire up the fan, fit tubing to the end panels, screw down the base, put it all back together, tighten the two screws and job done. I mounted it using tap washers either side of the base plate to reduce vibrations, not sure if that was necessary but seemed a good idea. Replaced a 21 year old fan, clearly fans have progressed, this is much quieter and shifts a lot more air (from my paper over the fan grill test). But then I chose this fan specifically because it has low noise (dB) and high throughout for reasonable electric power cost. Using the higher speed setting, it is only noticeably audible in the bathroom, but then it sits on a loft board, right above the bathroom, and most of the noise comes from the vent. In the bedrooms, if you listen carefully, there is a slight hum, but nothing more. That's good [Read More..] -

Fantastic product. I already had one I'm my own home and my parents needed two new extractor fans but unfortunately they were opposite ends of the house so brought two more of these, very powerful yet very quiet and soo easy to install -

Delivered really promptly, fitted now but not tested yet so unable to comment on capability. That said I see no reason why it shouldn't do the job nicely. Easy to install.

#2Whether appropriate? We have a wood burning stove with a metal pipe flue inside a concrete chimney with a clean air gap between the flue and the chimney. This space will heat up. There is a ventilation gap at the bottom and a hot air duct near the top. We need a fan at the ventilation gap to push cool air into the chimney to heat up and duct into other rooms. We are investigating this Manrose MF100S as a possibility for this purpose. Please advise whether it is appropriate or if not, whether you have other products that might be more suitable. Many thanks
Question by Dave Hodge, 11-09-2015Hello Dave
Thank you for your question. Would you be able to advise what the temp rating will be as the MF100s only has a operating temp of 40degree c. If this is any higher I will have to source one for you. You can contact me on 0208 463 9683.
Replied by i-sells, 11-09-2015#3CompitibilityI would like to replace a MIXflo MF-100S fan and i was wondering if this unit is compatible as it looks slightly different. I would prefer not to have to replace the wall fittings.
Question by Paul, 05-10-2015Hello Paul,
This unit is a Manrose MF100S Mixed Flow Fan. I am not aware of any recent design changes to the Manrose MF100S that would make this unit different from one previously purchased. Can you confirm what it is that looks different between this unit and the one that you currently have in position?
With kind regards,
MichaelReplied by i-sells, 06-10-2015#4Hi, can this fan be installed in a ceiling void which is just deep enough to fit it. Thanks Alex
Question by Alex, 19-10-2015Hello Alex,
The technical datasheet for this product which shows the full dimensions of the product can be found here and the installation instructions can be found here.
I would recommend that you consider the space requirements not of just the unit but also the working space that you will require to actually fit the unit and the ducting.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any further queries.

Replied by i-sells, 24-05-2016#12Mounting angleCan I mount the fan at any angle between flat and vertical. Just to stop condensate collecting in the depression around the fan blades. A slight tilt 45 degrees would allow it to run out and down ducting. But I don't know how this tilt would effect the bearings and motor....
Question by Robert tober, 16-07-2016Hi Robert
The fan is able to be mounted vertically and horizontally so I cannot see a problem with mounting at a slight angle as long as its mounting is flat and running ducting to falls is always a good idea.Replied by i-sells, 18-07-2016#13Running timeHi, Is the MF100s designed to be used as a continuos 24 hour run fan? Question by terry, 07-03-2017Hi TerryThe MF100T is a dual speed fan constant running on trickle with an activated boost speed and overrun via an adjustable timer, there is no other control option. The MF100S is the basic model that IS compatible with the separate humidistat, PIR or speed control options.Replied by i-sells, 08-03-2017#15Dryer ventHi I've got a dryer where the run I believe is approx 2m and comes out of the roof with one bend. However, the dryer is not working at its optimal as the airflow to get the hot air up and out is poor. Would this duct fan help with ensuring the air quickly dissipates into the air outside?
Question by R koura, 20-03-2017HiIt is quite possible that the Manrose fan would be too powerful even on a low speed in that it would want to extract faster than the discharge from the dryer so you would need to check the flow rate from the dryer discharge.A smaller less powerful unit is the duct fan that can be found by typing QS12506 into the quick search bar and this may be more suited..Replied by i-sells, 20-03-2017#16manrose mixflofanis this fan ok to exctract steam from cooker verticaly

Replied by i-sells, 02-05-2017#18What fan do I need? The bathroom measures W 1.6m, L 3m, H 2.55m. We have a ceiling fan above the power shower. It doesn't at all cope with the steam produced even though it replaced a less powerful fan. The walls are 460 deep stone, should we core drill through rather than through a roof tile. What product would solve the problem?
Question by Lynne Thurston, 01-11-2019Good afternoon Lynne. Thanks for the question. Do you know what type of ducting you are using. If it's a PVC Flexi duct, then it may not be performing it's duties fully. Flexi ducting would need to be pulled tort to get maximum airflow, so if the duct is drooping, that will cause problems.
If you wanted to go for a through the wall type, then you may want to look at the Kair Smart Fan - CRE100HTP. This is a continuous running fan, with Smart Humidistat, that constantly monitors the background humidity and adjusts the fan speed accordingly. My final point ref to the inline fan, is, does it only come on when you turn the light switch on? Might be worth adding a Humidistat to it if you can. I have investigated to find that the fan blade has a crack on it and this seems to be the problem. Can you advise if this is covered under 3 year warranty? I would be happy with a replacement blade which i could fit myself but i can't seem to see these available. Many thanks in advance.
Question by Graham, 13-01-2020Hi Graham, Yes it is covered under warranty, and I am fairly sure they can supply just the blade. If you can find the serial number off of the unit, and give me a call in the morning, i will get onto Manrose for you.

Before buying this fan, could you tell me if and how I can select a single speed (i.e. the fastest) to leave on all the time whilst it is switched on in my bathroom. I do not want a timer or 3 speeds just a one speed continuous fast speed fan. The fan will be mounted in the attic space above the bathroom with a short 1 metre flexi on the inlet side and a long 6 metre sloping solid pipe on the exit side to atmosphere. Thanks for your help.
Question by George, 22-02-2020Hello George
Thank you for your question. The MF100 fan unit is not made to be running on continuous, only intermittent, if left running it will burn out and invalidate your warrantyFor your requirements the Vectaire Elix range will do your application. It will do a 9mtr run and will run continuously at one or two lower speeds. Question by Mitch, 30-01-2022Good afternoon Mitch and good question.
The long and the short of it is, it isn't designed to do so. It is an intermittent fan, where it activates as an when required. If you want a fan that is designed to run continuously, then you would need to look at multivents. The Standard model would be MEVDC2, which has 1 x 125mm spigot from the unit to the wet zone, and 1 x 125mm spigot to the exterior grill. These can run on a constant trickle speed, and boost via a switch like.Kind regards,Marc.Replied by i-sells, 31-01-2022 -
