Galvanised steel bend with male spigots – Fits inside our range of galvanised spiral and other female coupling products. Our fittings are produced in accordance with DW144, and have a rolled edge for safer handling and improved alignment.

A Good morning Keith. Probably not, as the seal have a maximum temperature rating of 30 degree constant or 50 degrees intermittent.The bend itself has a temperature rating of 200 degrees constant and 250 degrees intermittent.Kind regards, Marc

A Hi Mike The quick answer is yes!The spigots/connections on the bend are male fittings and straight pipe, whether flexible or rigid has female ends. You may need to tape or use a worm drive clip to secure the connection.

Could we attach rigid ducting/or this galvanised bend (depending on the height needed to take it over the kitchen cabinets) straight to the 150mm ducting circle at the top of the extractor and do away with any square metal chimney ducting? Hope that makes sense? What else would we need to do this and extract to an outside wall?

You can fit the 150mm rigid ducting straight onto the spigot on the cooker hood, or if you want to fit the 150mm bend straight onto the cooker hood then a 150mm female sleeve or a piece of 150mm pipe would be required. You would need to know how many meters of 150mm ducting you need to go to the outside wall and you would require a 150mm grille for the outside. Thank youanswer nowA Hello MarikeThe spigot will not connect to the Manrose fan as they will both be male fittings and require a double female connector.The bend is not designed to be fixed to a panel or wall but to pass through an aperture in such and connect to something on the other side (continuation of ducting??) possibly a termination vent which would be fixed to the other side, (again using a double female connector).

The spiral ducting will not connect to the female coupling as the spiral is female you will require a male coupling. The safe connectors with the rubber seal will fit tightly into the pipe. The vented connectors will require fixing with either rivets or screws and seal the joints with aluminium tape. I am looking for a ducting solution to a vented tumble dryer. I have a hole through the wall for a left holed tumble dryer but the NEW ones on sale are mainly rear and so if I put another hole in the wall, the holes would collapse on each other. So I am looking for a rigid bend to place into the hole of the tumble dryer and connect with the venting kit that is in the wall.
I would be most grateful for your help. The PVC hose is useless - it degraded in less than 6 weeks of use.

The PVC hose is useless - it degraded in less than 6 weeks of use.answer nowA Hello RosemaryYou have a couple of options depending on what the connections are at either end, you mention the pvc hose so a different type of flexible hose should connect the same way, therefore semi rigid aluminium may be the simplest solution as you can form a bend which will stay in shape, you can find this in the quick search bar by typing QS2831 or QS2832 depending if your machine has a 100mm or 125mm spigot.Hope this helps

Yes the coupler and bend will fit into the sprial duct. The difference between the safe and vent is that the safe fittings have a rubber seal that will crate a seal when fitted and then you just have to seal your joint with aluminium tape.
