90-degree bends can be used to run your ductwork around obstacles along walls and into ceilings and offers superior performance and durability over flexible alternatives.
Kair plastic ducting is lightweight, durable and suitable for commercial and domestic use. It is perfectly suited for ducting your tumble dryer, bathroom or kitchen extractor fan, hydroponics, in-line extract fans, or a cooker hood. It can be used as a part of a long ductwork run for a variety of purposes including whole-house ventilation, passive stack vent, positive input, air conditioning, HVAC, and heat recovery systems.

Recommended usage
We always recommend to use as few bends as possible in your duct run to reduce any loss of pressure, this also applies when connecting smaller to larger ducting.
When supplying air through a powerful fan, ensure that the ducting is not too narrow as this could lead to an increase of air noise, damage to the fan and potential vibration.
Through the use of adapters, multiple connections to all other systems are possible.
Our system 100 is commonly used in bathrooms or to branch out from larger systems to smaller rooms.

Does item QS263 feature a full bore bend - or does the bore reduce?

Can this be solvent welded? If ABS or PVC, it can. If Polyproplyene, it can not.

Hello, Was considering QS680 which is 270 mm in height to use with QS46641 to vent from top of Bosch Extractor fan out thru kitchen wall, but then saw that QS278 is only 153 mm in height. I need to consider this as I have to allow 750 mm clearance between the gas cooker and the extractor fan. As the fan installation will be quite high QS278 may prove easier to use that QS680, but Q1- is QS278 compatible with QS46641, and Q2 – will it melt, as I note that it is made of polystyrene?

Cant figure out the best way to connect the pipe opening at the top of the extractor to the bottom of the 90 degree bend. PIPES ARE RIGID BUT CANT BELIEVE THAT YOU USE GLUE - With the heat an all plus the ability to remove for maintenance etc Any ideas?

A Hello Phil, I am not aware of an off-the-shelf plastic 125mm male to 125mm female 90 degree bend but you can use a cut down length of plastic pipe or a galvanised metal female sleeve connector (Part: GALMF-125) to achieve a similar result.Kind regards, Michael

Yes you can fit the semi rigid ducting to the bend and use a quick release worm clip to secure the bend to the ducting and the bend will fit into the plastic duct just seal the joint with some duct tape.
