A Good morning Steve, and thanks for the question.Unfortunately not. It is only suitable for rigid ducting. You wouldnt be able to get a good seal with flexible ducting.Kindest regards, Marc.

I intend to use insulated flexible ducting. I understand that this trap cannot be used with flexible ducting. So would it work if I inserted a rigid plastic pipe between the flexible ducting and the condensation unit. If this would not work then would semi rigid flexible ducting work as an alternative?

Thanks.answer nowA Hello GordonWe are of the opinion that the insulated ducting is the best option and to create a double connection either side of the condensate drain using rigid plastic ducting, this is available in 350mm lengths. You will also need to insert duct connectors so that you can refix the insulated flexi either side.
Can this trap be mounted horizontally

A Hello Malcolm Thank you for your question. The condensation trap can not be fitted horizontally only vertically. If condensation collects in the duct run it will fall into the rim in the trap and drain out via the overflow if fitted horizontally the water would have no where to go. I will be using 100mm insulated ducting for this job and there is no insulated version of the trap. What would you recommend for insulation for this section.

Also rigid insulated hose is used with this item not flexible as there is a lip in the condensation trap that the pipe sits in to. There is a lip inside the trap that leads to the overflow outlet which is suitable for standard 25mm plastic pipe.
