Double airbrick adaptor for System 220.
Supplied pre-fitted with 2 x airbrick grilles
The DUCVKC5733 220x90mm Rectangular Double Airbrick Adaptor with Grilles is manufactured from High Impact Polystyrene and has a minimum free area of 15,360mm².
It has a female adaptor for connection outside of the System 220 duct.
The DUCVKC5733 is fully compliant with SAP Appendix Q Product Characteristics Database recommendations for duct sizes used with both extract and Mechanical Heat Recovery Systems.
DUCVKC5733 is manufactured in compliance with Domestic Plastic Ductwork Specification DW/154 and does meet UL94HB flammability standard.
DUCVKC5733 has been designed for use with Kair System 220.

Can this product be fitted vertically as well as horizontally

A Hi David, and thanks for the question.These airbricks can only be installed in a horizontal position. If you are venting out through a roof, you may either require a tile vent or if it is a flat roof, you would need a roof cowl and a flashing kit. They are only available with round connections though.Kindest regards, Marc.
Im worried about wasps nesting in the ducting. Do you have a fly screen that fits in this airbrick adapter or somewhere the ducting (220x90) ?

This system does not come with grilles with flyscreens, The only way around this would to change back into round as we do grilles with flyscreen or a cowled grille which has a hood and a damper underneath. I need to run some 220m ducts under concrete for my new hob. I understand that it is best to box the structure, do you have any other tips. I need 2.5m of tape plus the vent. Can you please let me know if I need anything else

You will require 3x 1mtr lengths of ducting product code: QS18934 channel 2x ducting connectors product code: QS18939 and your outside grille product code: ducvkc5733g and tape product code: QS231. All the vents are double airbrick and none has a damper or gravity shutting action.If this is correct
1) Why is a double airbrick size necessary and not a 220x90 sizes vent?
2) Why is there no way of sealing the vent against insects etc. ?

Regards, Jamesanswer nowA Hello JamesThe system 220 ducting would be installed to cope with extraction rates of 500m3 and above we believe the double airbrick termination is recommended due to the high extraction rate and to reduce resistance at the termination point. If insects are expected to be a problem or a back draught shutter is required the easiest way is to convert to 150mm round duct using product code QS18941 and installing QS6170 cowled wall outlet with backdraught shutter.Alternatively type flyscreen into the search bar where there are approximately 40 other options.
