The Manrose Quiet Fan is the latest in domestic ventilation to incorporate a high extraction whilst producing an incredibly quiet running volume. Quiet, Powerful And Affordable Extract Fan From Manrose
Electrical
220-240V – AC. 50Hz Single Phase consuming 4.8 Watts. These fans are double insulated and do not require an earth. All wiring must comply with current IEE regulations. A double pole isolating switch, having a contact separation of at least 3mm in all poles, must be used with a 3 amp fuse fitted. The fan must not be accessible to a person using either the shower or bath and mounted a minimum of 1.8 metres from the floor.

Is this fan suitable for window (double glazed) mounting?

Hi Bill,
The Manrose QF fan is not suitable as they don't have window kits, a more suitable fan which can be window mounted and fit 100mm ducting is the Kair smart fan (quick search code:QS53935). This Smart fan also comes with more automatic ventilation features such as humidistat, pull cord and timer.

Can you confirm the dimensions (length and breadth) of the front plastic casing. I only have 170mm x170mm capacity.
In light of the above restriction, do you have any other bathroom extractor fan that will go on when the light goes on and stop when the light goes out that will extract more than 21 litres? Id prefer about 40 litres.

Hi, please forgive my ignorance.
I’m looking to use this fan in a small (10ft by 5ft) single skin brick shed/outbuilding to control humidity and hopefully prevent mould and rust buildup on tools/equipment etc.
I have no need of the timer function and am looking for a fan to sense humidity and switch on as necessary with no input from switch.
Would this product be suitable? And would you recommend an air brick on the opposite side of the building to further promote airflow. Thanks

Thanksanswer nowA Good morning Tom.In theory, yes, but you may need to build a housing for it on the inside, as the wall sounds like it wont be thick enough to house the fan spigot, the spigot on the back of the grill, and some ducting to connect them.The fan will also need to be wired via a fused spur for safety.a 100mm louvred grill on the outside would suffice.Kind regards, Marc

this fan stopped turning although the odd time I go into this shower room (light is what activates) turned on I can hear motor trying to work but nothing just the very odd time. I would like to know as a lady pensioner and call out is so costly could this be simple job

Hi, I have refurbished my bathroom and ensuite and need to replace the fans. The old ones are Newlec type 455058 and have 4 wires coming from ceiling but earth is not used. Would the Manrose pullcords you have be a suitable replacement? Thank you.

The fan must not be accessible to a person using either the shower or bath and mounted a minimum of 1.8 metres from the floor. If you require a fan to be installed over the shower then you will require a selv fan (Safety Extra Low Voltage) these can be found on our website as there are quite a few to choose from. The QF100t and the XF100t fan both have incorporating integral adjustable timers the only difference is their flow rate which is XF100 flow rate is 85m3/h-23 l/s and the QF100 flow rate is 75m3/h-21 l/s
