Overview
The Greenwood Unity CV2GIP utilises an innovative one product concept – One Fan, Any Room, All Installations and is one of the newest dMEV fans to be brought to the UK Market.
Designed for new build and refurbishment applications, it delivers a cutting edge performance as a result of its unique and innovative design – Unity CV2GIP is really one of a kind!
Key benefits:
Best Performing dMEV in the UK – with the LOWEST running costs
With an SFP as low as 0.16W/l/s, Unity CV2GIP achieves top of class performance for the dMEV category for SAP Appendix Q – an achievement for all installed applications. The delivery of this outstanding performance contributes to maximum rewards for DER’s in SAP and results in the lowest running costs for continuous ventilation – the equivalent to two cans of branded baked beans for the entire year!
GIP – Guaranteed Installed Performance
The 2010 Building Regulations now focus on installed ventilation performance meeting design criteria for the first time (GIP - Guaranteed Installed Performance). This is the first step to ventilation becoming a controlled service within a dwelling and means systems will be inspected and tested prior to signing off by Building Control.
Unity CV2GIP has been designed to assist in the simple delivery of GIP onsite. It has an innovative adjustable airflow feature which allows trickle and boost speeds to be altered following testing to ensure compliance.
SMART Technology
Unity CV2GIP marks the launch of SMART Technology by Greenwood – a fusion of sensors, controls and innovative design features that make ventilation work SMARTer in the home and the environment.
Discreet Design
Greenwood has challenged convention again by launching a circular fan which blends even further with its installed environment – especially in ceilings. In all, Unity CV2GIP is an excellent unit which is fit for installation in any circumstances!
Fuss-Free Installation
Installers were high on the priority list when designing the Unity CV2GIP – this product is easy to install and fuss-free when it comes to the latest regulations!
This product features a patented twist-lock front fascia and internal ‘stay open’ hinge with screw retention design, which means everything is always within easy reach of the installer – all aiming to reduce time, errors and annoyance typically found with some extractor fans
Two-speed single point fan
All defaults to airflow performance as in 2010 Building Regulations
All airflow and automatic sensor controls set through innovative touch-pad

Wiring Diagrams
SMART Technology is a fusion of sensors, controls and innovative design features that makes ventilation work SMARTer for the home and the environment.
1. Greenwood HumidiSMART™
Unity CV2GIP features a new and innovative way of using humidity to control ventilation.
It’s SMARTer because it only looks and reacts to man-made humidity. This removes nuisance running noise, especially at night, and unnecessary energy wastage typically associated with increases to background humidity which naturally occur with the changing seasons.
2. Greenwood TimerSMART™
Unity CV2GIP also features a new and logical approach to timer operation.
It’s SMARTer because, in contrast to traditional timers, it looks at the duration of occupancy to define running time rather than having a fixed running period. This removes nuisance running noise, especially at night, and unnecessary energy wastage and heat loss typically associated with traditional timers.
SMARTer controls don’t need
adjustment, they are simply ON or OFF.

Hi, I wish to install a suitable exhaust trickle fan in my basement room; which is around 70m3 in size. Therefore, is this a suitable product? Kind regards, Scott

Hi there, I have recently completed a bathroom fit, it is an internal bathroom (no windows). I have fitted a 100mm extractor fan but when using shower walls are running with condensation. Could the extractor fan be replaced with this unit to solve the problem. . Kind regards Dave
Hello Dave
Thank you for your question. The CV2 fan will do a 5mtr straight run if you are ducting the fan up and out or you can install the fan through the wall. This fan has a boost and trickle mode so when the humidity in the bathroom is high the boost mode will come on once the humidity has dropped it will go back to trickle also this fan is continuous running and also silent. If your duct run is longer than 5mts and has bends incurred or you are unable to fit the fan into the wall then another option may have to be spec for your application. Please do not hesitate to contact me.
Kind Regards
Anita
Due to a difficult ducting path for my kitchen hob extraction fan I am considering converting it to recirc and using an available 100mm ducting in the ceiling with this product. I believer the extraction rate would more than comply with building regs but would it be enough? My kitchen is in the corner of a large family room 75m2 and an apex ceiling (lots of m3). It may be possible to install a Kair Heat Recovery Extractor as well or a second greenwood but wall mounted. Thanks John
I would like to replace the existing fan which is situated on an external wall. The shower cubicle is at the opposite end in a long narrow bathroom. The shower cubicle is about 5m away from the external wall, can I install the CV2 on the external wall or would I have to duct it closer to the shower ? Also, can I instal this in zone 1 ?
Good morning. This can be ducted through an external wall or ceiling mounted, providing the duct run doesn't exceed 5m. It isn't SELV (low voltage) rated, so it can't go in zone 1. You would need the CV2SELV for that zone.
